      Memories

Since lucid dreaming is your conscious mind viewing subconscious projections, how easy is it to visit an event in your life that took place, say 20 years ago?

For eg My brothers fourth birthday. I have almost no recollection of it as I was just a kid, but would visiting it, as it happened be available in lucid dreams?

In theory, if it was a significant enough event, it should be stashed away in your long term memory somewhere. So, yes, you should be able to.

Please let us know your results!

Okay, thanks. In that case I would find it interesting to revisit a night where I am completely hammered. Unless I need to be in the same state of mind to recollect details I've forgotten.

That is a little different. Chemicals tend to inhibit the formation of neural connections associated with memory. Still, let us know how it turns out
