Am I testing myself subconsciously? (first full lucid)

I had a double lucid dream last night. The full story is in my Dream Journal, and is quite long.

But in it, I recognized what seemed to be a series of tests.
One, the girl, and my continuation of an earlier resolve not to waste a lucid dream on sex, I succeeded, just in time to avoid embarrassment. (even dream embarrassment). (ps props to Leo. He occurred to me in the dream)
The second, the Raven, I failed, and then died.
The third, the failure of the reality checks, with the witches, I finally solved by using a different tactic. And was congratulated.
The fourth, of making the DCs less scary, I also succeeded.
My reward? Future aid perhaps?

My dreams are rarely so filled with challenges. It seems strange that my first realy heavy-duty lucid (and a double, at that!) should be so filled with them. Is my subconscious trying to see if I've earned my dreams? :D Strange..

One thing I did discover is what I believe is a personal dreamsign. Getting tangled. It happened at least 3 times in my dreams last night. 4, even, I think. I'll be sure to watch for that in the future.

My euphoria leaked into my day. And damn, did I need it. Still, here's hoping for a repeat performance. :D
