Dunno man, I have spoken fluently in German in a number of occasions in my dreams. If only I had that abillity when awake!!! Would make my job a LOT easier!
Quote:"I'm just curious if I may have been lucid for this one."
If you have to ask, then the answer is no. "Acting as if awake" is a normal dream scenario.
*shrugs* you have to define what 'lucid' means for you personally.
if i had a dream like that, i wouldn't consider myself lucid.
i speak very basic spanish, and yet i've had a similar dream, where i had to struggle to translate what i wanted to say into broken spanish.
its interesting. the other night, i was reciting the alphabet, numbers, and some basic phrases in spanish (while awake) just to avoid forgetting the little i know.
.
that night i had a dream where two people were talking to me in spanish. it sounded very fluent, and i was trying to pick out little phrases and words i knew to roughly grasp the conversation. it made me wonder how accurately my subconscious produced a language i do not consciously remember.
i did spend 9 weeks in costa rica last year, so it is possible my subconscious has the ability to recreate something close to the actual language.
