This shocked me - DC as a mate??!?!

      Well yo every1.
After i had a few lucid dreams (omg rather 10 in a row.... 1 per day) and learning how to get FULL control (i could do just ANYTHING i wanted, i wanted to try something new - meet someone who would actually support me in the dream like in real life - a mate.
1st i want to mention that always when i get into the dream i change the environment to anime IMMEDIATLY - just because its really cool!.
So in the anime world im always in when lucid i got my own apartment, i go to prep school and got normal life, my next door neighbour is going to the same class as me, hes called Shinbo (heh - anime fans may know this name), so one day i woke up in the dream (yeh i woke up IN the dream) i made myself breakfast packed my bag for school and went to the school with Shinbo, in class i asked him if he wants to be my mate and he said "I thought i am already your friend!", and i said "yeah, but - oh well nevermind, you are the best friend of mine in here anyway", what i wanted to say is that i want him as a dream mate, but i didnt want to ruin the realityness of it., and we talked about some other guyish stuff -erotic magazines, movies, games and stuff- until the teacher punished us (omg she's hot!). I went back home made myself dinner, invited Shinbo for it we talked a bit played a game and then we both went sleep (YES sleep, a dream in a dream huh?). Next day i woke up ate breakfast once again (some eggs, tuna, bred and usual stuff), i walked up to Shinbo's apartment to pick him up to prep school. While we were going to school i started a conversation, and i remember it all perfectly:

Me:"Hey Shinbo i have to tell you something, but don't think i am a psycho"
      S:"Aight, what is it?"
Me:" Well you know, im currently in a dream but i love to be here, more than in real life"
      And the breakthrough
S:"I know that you're in a dream, or rather in our world, we aren't fiction - we actually do exist inside you"
      Me:"WHAT?! You kno that already?!?!?!"
S:"Of course!, the whole city and the world i live in is your imagination, or rather a copy of reality"
Me:"Aww that's cool, anyway i find it weird to talk with all of you in this world of mine, because you answer things i don't know in real life - and that's damn weird, and the most shocking is, you always answer it correctly, after i check up in the day when i wake up."
S:"Yeah, i know that feeling - you answer us things we don't know too, and we learn from it actually, because we are ALL the time inside you, we don't disappear when you wake up, we are still here, making our stuff."
Me:"Cool, anyway what i wanted you to ask is: do you want to be my dream mate?"
      S:"Dream mate?"
Me:"Yeah i want you to assist me in my dreams, we can do cool stuff because i can do alot in them, like make different vehicles appear and the most important - host chicks"
After the last words i said we both laughed loud
S:"Sure, i'd love to be your dream mate!"
      Me:"K, cool" *smile*

Then we arrived at school , had nomal lessons (history, maths and all - wth i was learning stuff i never knew about !!! 0.o). And the rest of the day was pure fun.

      -------------
      Conclusion:

Isn't this weird??, i got alot of control, and the most important thing is - i can stay in the dream for a few days (of dream time) and it really is like few days in real life!, the minutes pass by normally and all, that's totally weird!.
And i love this, today i'm gonna have some fun with Shinbo because my yesterdays dream ended up as friday - means i appear today in Saturday, omg we gonna have a party, race on bikes, throw a party inviting hot chicks, watch some porno movie with our classmates (guys only ofc.), watch a football match and well, end up going home, sleeping and for me - waking up in the moment im going to sleep in the dream, it's weird because then when i wake up i feel like im in another lucid dream
      .

What do you think of it

I agree wtih kr3wskater - that sounds totally awesome. How long have you been lucid dreaming for? You sound quite skilled. One thing I find particularly cool is that you go to school in your dreams and actually learn things. I think I'd have a hard time doing anything other than party, have fun, and goof around.

I've always wanted to create some sort of consistent dreamworld I can visit, but my lucid dreams are generally too short and too far apart to give me a chance at that. So many things I want to do once I get better at lucid dreaming... If only I didn't have morning classes!
Well life is short, so love the one ya' got, 'cause you might get run over or you might get shot.

I'm not calling you a liar, but I have to be a bit skeptical. Reading LaBerge's research it sounds like all dream time vs real time experiments have shown the time is generally analogous, this doesn't mean that you couldn't think you experience whole days by skipping over blanks.

But let's think of the ramifications of what you're saying here: you claim to experience 3 days of actual time per night in your sleep. If you could consistantly do this then you could live the equivelant of 3 lifetimes in your own, truly amazing.

Once again I do not mean to be rude, but you sound a bit young and when I was young I was prone to exaggerate a bit, so I think we should all take what is said with a grain of salt. It's important to keep LD'n grounded in reality to me.

I think it's very easy to want to LD so much that your brain obliges and makes you think that you have.

      Happy LD'n.

It does feel like this stuff, that 3 days are happening in 1 normal night day - i know this because i did all usual daily things, like washing teeth, eating, school, fun, tv, sleeping and all, so i got used to them and now they appear to me as normal days there

Sounds cool. I'm kida inclined to beleive it because I mean, what would he have to gain by coming on here and lying to us?

In addition I think you have a duty given your skill (luck too?) and the presence of seemingly independant dream-learning. Choose a subject that you ABSOLUTLY know you have never learned anything about, ever, not even subconsciously, and ask about it in the dream. In you get new info that checks out the next day, you may be really on to something.

And I know in your first post you already said you have done this, but there's always the possibility that you learned it without realising (ie. having a tv program on about a subject but not really listening) and then recalled it in the dream as "new information". So if it's not too much trouble could you conduct as foolproof a test as possible on this dream-learning phenomenon you experience?

Lucid dreaming isn't magic, if you don't at least subconciously know something about it you won't know a damn thing about it in your dream.

Let's not bring this down to carnival tricks.

Now what did that contribute? Cynicicsm, realism, whatever you may call it its certainly not forwarding any attempts at anything.

      Its worth a shot.

I'm not trying to be cynical or mean. But I do think it's important to keep things on the level.

I agree with ModestMouse... You should learn to separate illusion from what really happened. I guess most people had tons of dreams in which they thought that X or Y was new to them or that something they did made a lot of sense when it actually didn't make sense at all. It's called illusion and it's part of the dream world, faked feelings, faked time frames, faked memories. All of those have the same effect on you as if it really happened within the dream as you thought it did. You prove it by posting this thread. You shouldn't mistaken any illusion for something that has any relevance in or relation to real life.

I think it's one thing to reflect on what your subconcious is telling you, but quite another to just make things up.

Let's look at the facts here:

A young kids claims every night he can LD after trying right away. He immediatly enters a cartoon world and puts himself in prep school (the plot of many animes). Where he procedes to spend 3 days of actual time every night. I am willing to except alot, but just not that. If he is really such a prolific LD'er get in the lab and let soemone study you, but I don't think it serves any purpose just patronizing the kid.

I'm going to withdraw from this discussion. Just because I have a prejudice and don't believe what is said to be true doesn't mean it's not true.

This is such a great forum and everyone has such an open attitude I feel bad about spoiling that.

      Please continue with your discussion.

To comment the arguement about the ability to exist in dreams for what may be days, I'd like to give an example of how this happons a lot. If anyone here knows about the "California Knockout" game, its where people help eachother pass out. They are knocked unconcious sortof by suffocating them, they tend to have dreams that last for minutes on end while they're online knocked out for 2-5 seconds in real time.

I used to do that lots in school, didn't know it had a name though.

The dreams I had whilst doing it were the main reason I stopped.
It was really freaky and quite scary and like you said seemed to go on alot longer than possible
      .
I would like to try it again now that I'm into LD's, I wonder if I could control that experience?
i want to try it but at the same time I am kinda scared to do it, I used to relate the feeling to dying.

Call me sceptic, but I think you're speaking lies. I mean, nobody has 10 lucids in a row. And nobody can control dreams that perfectly. And what the hell, you change your dreams instantly to anime? I mean, that sounds like a desperate wish from a lifeless geek. "I want to live in an anime world with hot chickozorrx and stuff". Not being hostile, it's just my opinion. Speaking lies helps no one.

But if you're really saying what happened, you must be the best dreamer that has ever walked the earth. But looking at your post count (I know that people should not measure skills by amount of posts), someone is really whispering to my ear, "liar".
      "Well, technically, it's a thingie."

I'm not saying what he says is true or untrue but I can tell you that most of it is possible

dreaming anime: iv done it before, it instantly through me into lucidity, thus I find it believable that he could stay lucid while not reality checking for long periods of time

prolonged dreams: Iv dreamed out an entire day in an LD before, it seemed like it was all happening at the time but looking back and really studying it there are some blank spots

10 lds in a row: this is actually the highest number that iv reached so far, I just kept having FA after FA where I would open my eyes and be in my dream bed with full lucidity intact, didnt even need a reality check

going to bed in a dream and then waking up into another dream of the same storyline: iv done this many times, its not that hard, this could explain the 3 days thing, he's going through 3 REM periods a night of LDing

Having DC's tell you things that you never thought you knew: yoiu hear stuff on TV and even in the classroom and worplace everyday, you may not conciously hear it but subconciously its a different story
      ---------------------------
Thus pretty much everything he has said COULD be true, its within the realm of possibility but personally I think the way he represented himself points towards the fact that he's lieing (personally now, but that doesnt mean what he's saying is a lie)
firstly his topic: "this shocked me - DC as a mate?!?!?!" now personally, if I were having 3 day long LDs the fact that I could make friends with a DC wouldnt shock me whatsoever, I mean my God, your in an anime world that was created by your mind that never changes, thats a whole lot more amazing than some guy in it saying "ill be your mate"

second, the way he talks about it is all wrong: its like he wants us to envy him for having such a great night life and for being so good at lding etc...

After i had a few lucid dreams (omg rather 10 in a row.... 1 per day) and learning how to get FULL control (i could do just ANYTHING i wanted, i wanted to try something new [/b]
why the capital letters? if he wasnt trying to brag why make "ANYTHING" stand out so much?

anyway using that one quote as an example you can go through his post and see where he does this many times... his post sounds like a disguised way to make us like him and think he's cool or something, this is a pretty common thing for people who cant gain approval from those around them and feel that they need it so much that they have to lie for it, quite sad to tell you the truth (not to say this is what he is doing/ feels) but anyway I have this annoying talent for seeing directly through lies (annoying because people lie to you 24/7 )

so thats my 27 and 1/2 cents
(hope it made sense to someone other than myself )
      .

He actually said he had 10 LDs in a row, 1 a day. So I assume he meant he had 1 each night for 10 nights in a row, not 10 in one night.

You make a very good point though...
      A dream
is a reality that others cannot see.
      Reality
is a dream you share with others.

      Yep exactly that,

and i'm a kid nomore, and i've just read this thread over again and got a nostalgic feeling, and i remembered all of it...

But these days.... stuff goes terrible, it's like im loosing my lucid powers, like, theyre exhausted or something. I just can't get into any LD for months!!

Also, it's a piece of an intresting story to newcomers, since i've resurrected this thread, which is A-N-C-I-E-N-T
