      Time.... AGAIN....

      Ok short but weird...

"You experience time in a liner fasion for a reason...If you expereinced it in a nonlinear manner, where past, present and future are all one, you would not...."

Something touched my kneck... in the waking world!

It scared the crap out of me, it was my little stuffed dragon Scorch
dis my stuffed dragon and you die....

I have no idea what caused it to move and touch my neck like that like I said it scared the frikin crap out of me...

So I lay there, the words playing over and over in my head... Whoever spoke them was just a voice, I was floating in nothing listening.

      Then it hit me...

We would not be able to feel if we did not experience time in a linear fasion.

      I duno... thoughts anyone?

Tons, but I don't know if I can put them into words. The whole concept of time always baffles my human brain and gets me thinking in circles. I'm going to meditate on this for a bit.

You said that if we didn't experience time in a linear progression, we wouldn't be able to feel. Can you elaborate?

If we werent in the 3rd Dimension we wouldnt be able feel. I think. Linear time must be halfway between the 3rd and 4th Dimension?

It makes sense in a way...but dream time and waking time is differently.

I have felt pain, say from hanging on the side of the bed where a metal bar was, and then i had a dream that i was shot in the same place where the metal bar was putting pressure...

but then your neuro electromagnetism is still connected to your physical body. When you die your brain dies so your brain losing that ability to be a magnet for electromagnetism. so the conscious in an energy form gets set free. this is what I think anyway

Hmmm. A very dear friend and I were kind of talking about this the other day. We were discussing a kind of duality of emotion, experience, and feeling.

We were discussing the duality of our current friendship and a relationship we might have shared in a past life.

In a sense we were experiencing feelings and thoughts that were non-linear as they were seperated by hundreds of years.....

It's a weird feeling, a little disorienting, but very uplifting! I understand it, but currently lack the words to explain it!!

We all experience life as a progression of moments, within these moments we experience the gammut of emotion and feeling. Sometimes we experience more than one at a time, usualy experiences as such leave us drained, some are incredible experiences but its not somtehing we can deal with on a regular basis.

If we experienced life in a completely nonlinear fasion something would be taken away from us, sure it would probably be an incredible experience being in a constant unchanging state of experiencing all... but it would never change... Static, forever and etrnal, the same thing.

The gift that we have been given is this mortal life, Tolkien even goes over this now that I think of it. We get to experience change, and through change we can grow, if we did not feel and experience as we do, we would be forever cursed to be an unchanging thing.

But with this gift we have limitless potential, if its realised, if its not wasted.

We are immortal etherial beings given the gift of mortal physical life, so that we may grow, into what I duno =)

Feelings of the past, of the future are common to those with their mind open, friends you have known... and will know. Certain things are forever true, like real friendship, it goes beyond these mortal lives we have, the firends that we will always have.

Now that I realised and though about it... I just cant stress it enough...Without this gift of experiencing life in a momentary fasion I would not have been able to make this realisation, I would be bound to a static existance, as would all of you, and we would never have come as far as to even think of there being another way to perceive time...

Last time I was "high" on DMT, I experienced time backwards. I lived my life back to about age of 8. Which was very intense...

Time, is flowing like a river....to the sea..
      -Alan Parsons Band circa 1981

Time is like a river, we sit and experience it rushing by us. This is what Seri is saying! God, it is profound, I get it!

However, the river like time exists in it's entirty!

We sit by the bank in our present spot with out feet resting in the water and feel as it passes by, tugging at us. We look into it's depths and see the sparkle of light playing from it's surface.

But comprehend, the river exists at it's source and at it's destination in the sea. If we could but pick up our feet and dangle them in some past or present location!

The river just is! It is us, we are the ones that percieve it as discrete incrments passing us by.

Aaarrrgh!!! It hurts to be a 3D being in an 11 dimension universe!!!

Thank you seeker =) I know I dont make sense alot of times hehe. You are absolutely right though, Time like the River also repeats, it upwells from a source say high in the mountains, or from glacial deposits, flos down the river itself and into the ocean, where eventually it will become airborn through evaportaion and eventually be depositied back on a snowy mountaintop.

Tonight has been a weird night, lots of strong deja vu, I suppose from where we sit on the riverbank we can look up and down the river and see beyond where we sit if we look hard enough, perhaps some have a good view to see more of the river than others? *shrugs*

Ev, I was thinking of Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse. It is from the river that Siddhartha learns how to listen, how to accept things he cannot change, and the meaning of time.

The river was his greatest teacher. I have also learned from the river. Next chance you get, just get away, by yourself and sit next to the river. Let it's peace wash over and fill you with itself. Listen to the sound it makes as it continuously passes you by. Empty yourself of all thoughts and concerns and let the river fill you with itself.

Contemplate that although the river is continuously passing you by, that it still exists and is everywhere, past, present, and future.
