I have recently discovered this method too, how freaky. |

This morning I though I'd try something new, using the WBTB method. I was awake for about 30-40 minutes, I turned the TV on and went back to sleep; leaving it on. This, I surprisingly found, made it easy to know the exact moment you enter a dream because, when you start to feel that "head rush / dizzy " and you start to feel that you are falling asleep, the sounds of the TV change slightly and then change entirely as soon as you enter the dream. That instantly alerted me of entering a dream and made me attain instant lucidity. |

The Sandman is near.
I think I have posted in your thread, I just thought I'd post my version here because it is different, for one thing mine was actually accidental lol, because i end up doing the WBTB often...but not on purpose |

maybe one night when i dont need to be well-rested the next day ill try this, it sounds like a mix of WBTB and aural focusing technique. |

Well, it's kinda hard to explain. At one point I was trying to move but found it impossible, I think the reason for this, though, is because i was in between the transition from waking to dreaming, like I was in a dream but I was still restricted by my own earthly body. |

I usually sleep with either a tv, music, or a fan on. When I sleep in silence my dreams are usually more lucid. They all give me different dreams. I've had dreams where I went lucid and my dream was just odd and made me think why I was dreaming it at all. Usually when I wake up it was the outside noise working its way into my dreams. The place where I sleep alters my dreams as well. If I sleep in my bed I tend to have dreams close to my home and things seem familiar. However, when I sleep on my couch, in my chair, or in an unfamiliar place I have more dreams about places I don't recognize and mostly people I've never met before. |

living the waking dream
hmm, that's strange, area doesn't affect my dreams at all. I think that the weird dreams with the TV on are usually just your imagination listening to the TV and interpreting it in a strange way lol, usually similar to what is exactly on TV, but with a weird twist lol |

Hmmm sounds intresting. I think radio would work too, right? |

I guess it would work in ways, but if you think about it, there is no real "theme", it would work the same way as music maybe...hmmmm...worth a try |

I remember I was on my couch watching t.v trying not to fall asleep, because I was waiting for someone to stop by then I decided to get up, but I couldn't...I could see and hear the t.v, but I was paralyzed. Many times there's someone/thing out of my view and that freaks me out. |
|
I also sleep with a fan on. I think the white noise helps, in some way or another. No matter what season, the fan is always on in my room when I settle in! |
