      Liquid Mirrors and 17 Fingers...?!

      I had a fun LD the last night. I had become lucid during the begining of my first dream (I had like ten before I woke up.) I was in the middle of something when I thought of something.. I read that if you look at your hands while in a dream you will either have no or too many fingers. Well I had 17 all together.. on my left hand there was an an extra middle finger, pinky , and thumb. On my right was an extra index finger and three extra pinkies. It was very entertaining to look at nevermind watching them all move.

      At that time a noticed a small round mirror hanging on the wall. I stood infront of it and found that i couldn't see my reflection just the stuff behind me.. I felt curious and touched the glass. My hand sunk into the mirror as if i was reaching into a pool of water, yet when I took my hand out it froze in place. I then tried to go thru the mirror, I couldn't fit but when I pushed my head thru all I could see was light.. I wonder where it would have taken me..

      *Looking at the hands* can be a good way to induce LDs. i'm gonna try looking at them from time to time while i'm awake, so the next time i don't see 10 fingers, i'll know i'm dreaming

      As for the mirror, it could have been very interesting if you tried to get in it. It obviously takes a lot of control to do that, and you seem like you have control alright. Plz let us know if you succeed!

      Funny, in my dreams I always have exactly 10 fingers, like i'm supposed to have.

      Maybe it has something to do with the mind? (like maybe I have a stronger unconscious memory or something).

      The liquid mirror reminds me of the matrix though (If you've seen part 1, the part where neo turns quicksilvery and then gets into the ''real world'').

      Maybe you saw that or talked / thought about it a while before that dream?

      Yeah I was gonna say thats Matrix like. In a sense though when Lucid Dreaming it is just like The Matrix (also to an extent in normal dreaming).

      I.e. you can bend reality, like the mirror, superpowers etc.
      You aren't in the real world.

      Anyways you probaby already realised those comparisons lol. Maybe We are in the real world right now but instead of pluggin ourselves into the matrix we do a remote WiFi Signal lol

      Yeah I thought the same thing about the mirror thing being like the matrix. I didn't talk or think about that before I went to sleep. I guess it was just my mind playing games with me. As for LD'ing being like the matrix. One of the key differences is the fact that we can't link-up to large ammounts of people, all though that would be quite cool indeed.

      Hm.. funny, last night I had a dream with more than 20 signs of me being dreaming, but yet I ignored all of them:

      Started from my PC clock being AM/PM instead of military time, to people showing someone letters which say ''This is what I dreamt (DREAMT, not dreaming, DREAMT wtf?)

      Continueing with monsters in a forest, me eating mice, excessive saliva pouring out of my mouth in IMMENSE amounts (the amounts that would make you say, damn, that you still have any fluids in you at all).

      Oh yeah, not to mention teleporting from Physics class to english class... O.o
      Wrote it down in my project, that was a cool dream. lol.
