Latest experiences

I've haven't posted anything in a long time. I've been waiting to gather some more lucid experiences, and I've had a handful of recent interesting lucid dreams.

Since I've been reading some of the messages here, a lot of intriguing theories and experences that some of the posters have described led me to new approaches for my own dreams. Particularly, the concept of "constructs" and the role they play.

First, about two weeks ago, I found myself in a dream situation that I've been through several times. This situation involves myself being outdoors and looking to the night sky to find strange patters comprised of what appear to be UFO's flying overhead. These craft appear to be attacking me or the entire earth, I'm not sure. Anyhow, this time I was surrounded by my immediate family and I soon realized that I was dreaming. I wanted to tactfully tell "my family" that either I or we were dreaming. So I turned to them and said something like "surely we cant be dreaming!" They all seemed to be puzzled and quiet, then my brother spoke up and said that we were dreaming. I told my brother that I would see him in the morning, and woke up. I never spoke to him about it the next day, but he never said anything either.

The next lucid dream involved experiments. I cant remember what initiated my awareness that I was dreaming, but I guess thats not too important. I've read posts here at dreamviews about some of the experiments that people have tried such as flying and traveling through mirrors, so I tried something similar. I was inside of a room and there were people there watching me as I told them to watch as I attempted to travel through a wall. First, I put my hand through it and I've got to be honest, as I watched my hand travel through the wall I felt as though it took a lot of mental concentration to do it. Perhapps it is because that in reality I've never actually seen anything like it so I had to "fill in the gaps" and portray to myself what I thought it might look like to see a hand magically pass through a wall. Then I tried to walk through the wall, and I'm almost certain that walking through it resulted in me waking up because I don't remember much more.

Finally, my latest lucid experience began when I found myself boating in a lake with my brother. It was the lake that we would visit when we were younger. As we drifted along, I soon became aware that I was dreaming. I wanted to be tactful with my brother so I aked him a very particular question that would bring about a reaction to prove whether or not he was indeed my real brother. I don't remember the question but beyond doubt he turned out to be a false representation. My brother and I were then passing along shore next to a camp house with people outside. So I shouted out somthing like, "you are all constructs!" I believe that I even said that they were figments of my imagination. They all seemed to be silenced and lifeless, but they remained visible. I told them to prove to me that they weren't constructs by making themselves dissapear (now I'm not sure what that really would have proved). Anyway, just as I thought that I had put a rather uneventful end to my dream, I turned and saw one of the people on land appear to be active. That person was staring at me with piercing eyes, and appeared to be very angry so I forced myself to wake up.

I guess these latest ecperiences are not too enlightening. They are rather inconclusive. I suppose what I'm looking for is to find someone in a dream that is a legitimate being outside of myself. It is probably far to much to hope for, and I've been hashing over some possible negative aspects of persuing this inquiry. I believe that if I could find such a being, there would be a certain probability of interacting with a negative entity, perhapps an evil spirit. This alone may well be enough to keep me from pressing further into lucid experiences.
I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Hey that was interesting! Many of us are trying to contact someone that we can prove is not a construct.

On that passing your hand through the wall, what did you feel? One time, when passing my hand through a metal door, I could feel everything. The steel cladding, then the foam insulation, then the outer cladding. Strange thing!

It seems like you have found some great techniques that work for you...thats really important. :)
