How annoying!
After only havin a couple of very low-level LDs in the last few months I have been trying hard to remember to do RCs and watch out for anything unusual.
Early this morning after waking at around 4.45 and feeling frightenly wide awake (for me) at that time in the morning. I struggled to get back off to sleep. Eventually I did and had what seemed a fairly normal dream and I met some friends of mine who introduced me to one of their friends. I mentioned about Lucid Dreaming and this frind of a friend was asking all sorts of questions about it but came to the conclusion it wasn't safe or healthy to practice such an 'art'. However, I replied that it's perfectly safe and no harm can be done.
What a pity no-one (myself included) suggested doing an RC! So annoying to find I'm discussing with an imaginery character all about dreaming and not realising I was! Grrr
Try again... ;)

Sometimes realizing it takes a very long while to accomplish your goal of having an LD. It's not easy to do, even if you find yourself talking of LDs and everything. Once, I told someone that they were in my dream and I still didn't get the message and didn't become lucid.

hey,
yeah, the fact that you are dreaming about LD's is very encouraging. just keep trying it will come eventually. :)
I know it's frustrating when you wake up from these types of dreams but on the positive side at least you remembered your dream :D
Good Luck!

Oh  Glad it's not just me that this happens to! I've had quite a few lucid dreams in the past (average 2 a month) but they have all dried up lately which has been irritating but I have been trying not to let it annoy me ;)
Just as well this dream didn't turn out lucid anyway as it was just starting to become interesting when I had to get up for work

We all go through our dry spells. Nobody is perfect at it.

Aw, don't feel bad. The worst is when you Do do a reality check and it fails. That happens to me a lot. I will think I am dreaming, do a reality check, it will fail, and I will assume I am not dreaming. Grrr. In time it will come. :)

I like looking at my hands :D Really wierd but such good fun! Last time I tried to do it I knew I had to but could lift my arms nor look down to see them :( Still - plenty of time to keep practicing! :)
