we all have that power. not all of us have that knack to do those kinds of feats. it all comes down to believing in yourself and connecting to that level of intending that kind of dream activity. In that family, that guy is very lucky that both he AND his sister do lucid dreaming. how rare is that? think about it. they both know each other well, both live in the same house(?) and are familiar with the layout of the house. when they go lucid or have an oobe, they are pretty well linked up with each other and the layout and have alot higher chance of "hacking" or syncing into each others dreams.

Aw man, this is getting closer and closer to the Matrix!

I've wondered about the mental connections people can have with one another over long physical distance. Your story makes it sound more convincing.

You and your sister should consider finding someone who'd be interested in conducting some scientific research into this. Maybe the Lucidity Institute would be interested? They cover all sorts of lucid experiments. Then you could have some more tangible evidence if you really are sharing dreams. You know my view on it but I'd be interested to see what (if any) results a study into this would uncover.

Plus, a study of that sort will probably pay you a bunch of money...

If you want I will be your agent for measely 20%...lol

Yeah, it might have been a tad too severe, but I get where you are coming from. This is a community where people are of a open mind, mostly due to the fact that it is based on something that most people aren't educated about, something that isn't an exact science and varies for every individual. This is a place where you are to believe the unbelievable.

Now here comes somebody and instead of considering that it might be true, he just pretty much laughs and insults everyone. I won't drop down to his level, but I do urge him to either leave the board, keep those thoughts to himself, or, better yet, try to have an open mind and accept the possibility that just because it has never happened to him or he has never learned about it, doesn't mean it can't be true.

We have a very close community here, the people are very friendly and will defend this place and its people without thinking twice. Therefore I hope that you don't come here to insult us or I am sure that you will be banned. Just try to understand where we stand and hopefully you will become a member of this community yourself....

If I disagree with what someone says I don't post it. Like, no offense, but I'm not so sure about that... But there are those "one in a million" people who can do strange stuff...

the wright brothers had to wait 5 years for the government to grant them a patent for their plane because it violated accepted laws of science...

is what happened possible? anything is possible.

For one thing, your dreams didn't match up exactly. She doesn't remember getting launched into the air, or you doing anything. But the two of you evidently think of lucid dreams in conjunction with each other, so it stands to reason that you'll meet each other in dreams and dream about what you expect to find in dreams. So, here's what you need to do. Whenever you see her and she sees you, think of a phrase or something of your invention, and tell her in the dream. If she can tell you what you said, then that will be remarkable, though I, for one, would probably think you were lying. Lucid dreams are quite possible in the natural world, but telepathy, as far as we understand, is purely supernatural. And, while I believe in the supernatural (being a Christian), I don't think that a normal human can control the supernatural like that.

there is no such thing as a 'normal human'. Humans have un-tapped powers that definitely do come out. If you are a Christian, that's cool, but read the bible and see the tons of examples of humans doing the supernatural. Moses for example? You said "normal human controlling the supernatural", happened all the time in the bible. What about John's vision of going into the third heaven? Sounds like a lucid dream to me. btw, i'm not a Christian, but have studied plenty of it, it has tons of supernatural stuff...

"Hacking a dream" is just a fancy way of saying having a shared dream together.

Thanks for that advise but we've already done that Years ago. and it stands true we were able to converse full conversations after waking in regards to what was said in a dream. I really could care less if you believe me or not.. your opinion to me really doesn't matter. I don't think my worlds going to end based on your beliefs.

I don't think that the sort of tone that is being showed in these post is appropiate. I know that it is a very dubious matter, thus many do not believe it, but that doesn't mean that we must call each other liars. I think that firestorm started out with a valid arguement, trying not to be disrespectful and stating, a bit too fanatically perhaps, that within his beliefs what shadow was saying was impossible.

He might not be as open minded as one wishes, but I would have to say, Shadow, that maybe that response wasn't appropiate for someone who was not attacking you. I would think that it fits perfectly to lucky27's response, because of the attitude and respect he showed towards you and the entire board, but I don't think that firestorm was being disrespectful or that he merited that response. What you wrote might be true, but I would have to concur with wasup and say that it is best for the board if you keep those feelings to yourself.

I am sorry if I stepping over the lines with this, but I believe that it is best to not create a hostile environment here, and not give a bad impression to all the newbs. Lets try to be more respectfull to each other, and I am sure the converstions will be much more interesting and enriching
