      DJ=success

      I cant' believe it! In the three days I've been keeping my DJ I've had two LD's (though short and low quality) it's the most I've had in months. And it can only get better (I hope). With that triumph speech over and done with I'd like to ask some advice. In my LD's (even the ones long before I came here) everytime I enter a dark area I wake up. If it wasn't for the damn darkness I would have had a very long and satisfying LD last night. Does anyone else get this?

      Quite good. In the past 3 days I have kept mine, I have had one. It lasted about 5 minutes but all I could do was go around some boring apartment.

      Hmm, odd. In the next LD, try to summon light, whether it be through the sun or some artificial source. Maybe if you illuminate your whole dream, you won't ever have to step into the darkness.

      congrats

      i had a similar problem with lighting...eventually i realized that if i reach into my pocket expecting to find a lighter, or flashlight, there will usually be one there...and this allows one to ward off premature ending of the dream.

      in some dreams the entire scene becomes illuminated simply by flicking the lighter..

      yeah..dream journals are huge towards gaining lucidity.

      over a month ago i was averaging at least 2-3 a week, so i started to slack off on my dream journal and only write down the interesting ones...and then only the lucids.

      well, i stopped having lucids ..the last month i had about 3 entries, and not a single lucid..so i started writing diligently a couple days ago, and already i had one last night 8)

      keep up the good work

      Now I'm having at least three dreams a night without fail. Haven't had any more lucids yet but shouldn't be too long.

      I'll have to get some more light in my dreams.
