1 maybe 2 lucids

so my dream started out i was at my moms antique store alone at nite and i was scarred cuz i had to stay the nite there alone..its an old haunted place..haha maybe not but it seems like its haunted..so i went and sat on the front porch for a while to chill out when i notice a light on on the second floor...i thought a ghost did it so i went back inside and waited a minute and came back out and the light was off...then all of a sudden it came on again so i was like maybe im dreaming so i stand up and just as high as i can and i started flying, flying is my biggest dream sign, so i decided too look at my hands and stablize the dream which has worked in the past but didnt for some reason this time and the dream ended..i woke up and fell back to sleep with in a couple of minutes and my dream started off where the last one ended...i was flying down towards the ground and i immediatly knew i was dream and looked at my hands again but still it didnt work and i woke up.....my question is why didnt it work? i tried as hard as i could to stablize the dream..i started off having controll when i decided to fly and another ? i have..was this one or 2 lucids in a night?

Sounds like two low-level lucid dreams. Try some of those techniques for increasing lucidity: rubbing your hands together, screaming "lucidity now", spinning...etc.

Just looking at my hands often gets me lucid, but I have to do something else to increase the lucidity level.
