Named subconcience + alter ego LD = ?

Ive decided to name my subconcience, it supposed to work dont ask! :?

Anyway ive decided to take that a step forward, since im having trouble with controling LDs ive decided to imagine that when i go to sleep i wake up as my subconcience, like a alter ego that can do anything. I suppose this would help me.

last i had a LD and imagined i was my subconcience character, i could walk through a wall - can do that anyway - but i didnt try anything else, my voice was strangly deeper and it seemed as though my LD was much more vivid and clearer than my others also i had more time to think about what i was doing!

Anyway im gona try to use this method more and even add it to my 4th dimention method. I will tell you more about this when i use it more. If anyone else uses either the named subconciene, alter ego method or wants to know more on my 4th dimention method - since no one is posting on my old one - feel free.

i actually just named my subconscious today.... i asked her directly and with intent a few times to "speak to me in a lucid dream"....

we seem to be approaching things at different angles, but still in a similar manner.

look forward to seeing how your own experiment works out, and i'll post any relevant info in this thread...

Anyway i used my alter ego method again and these were the results:

Longer LD - alot longer although im not sure if it has anything to do with my alter ego, if it did then it ment that i was spending less time being aggravated over not being able to do abilities -, could fly better, could make things appear - sword, make people do what i wanted them to do. It would of been more succesful if my mind was not set on a perticular task. I have also made an "item" of clothing for my alter ego - a thick chunky arm band like Clouds on my left hand which will add the sence of being him instead of me bigger - also i looked in a mirror (actually in a shop window) and my reflection was of me and not of my alter ego so i need to make up a perticular look for him. (this actually mede me wake up, i think i was concentrating to hard?)

*I need a persific method to fly for him, any will do apart from running and jumping with arms outspread - never works.

Also i dont realy think i need my named subconcience although i do use it to tell him what he/I must do for next LD.

last night (first night after having my subconscious) i became lucid (for the first time in a few weeks.

i almost immediately remembered my intent to speak with my s.conscious, and called her by name...unfortunately the dream faded right after this, but i was happy at this small success anyways.

i "talked" to her today as well, asking for her to show herself in a dream, and hopefully tonight i will have another lucid, and actually meet/speak with her.

will let you know what happens when i actually interact with her :)

I had another LD using my alter ego but it was kind of a failed one:

I was in this strange room, in 3rd person i think, and there was this creature in side. I forgot what happened but i relised it was a dream. I became Lucid. I went up to a wall and felt it, realy relistic. So i saw a window up ahead and i went towards it, i looked at my left arm to see the arm band but instead of it being there my arms bone structure was trying to make it. I went up to the window and there were some people there from my school trying to jump out of the window. I went passed them but i couldent walk thorugh the window or fly out of it. Somehow i got out of the window and i was in this battle field. I found a gun and tried to use it at a soldier but it wouldnt work - just like my normal dreams - i got fusrated and went in to another building. I saw a table there and tryed to kick it. It would not move, so someone in my dream told me to imagine that it would move high up when i kick it. So i did and kicked it and it went really high, i tryed it again but it didnt work. Overall it was a crappy LD, i knew it was a dream, i could control my actions, it was realistic but anything else i could not do.

Also i could anyone tell me how to make my Alter ego better as in more relistic and so i can easily tell there not me.

Heh, I created a sorta alter-ego as well when I was small.
I have a huge imagination, I had it when I was small as well so I went like.. *imagined a full galaxy, with people and stuff* and one of the races in it were "The Ancient Entities", beings that existed before existence itself, and particularly, their most powerful ''warrior'': [Alpha]-0mega-.

When I entered him as my alter-ego in my dreams (went easily, dunno how lol), I became him in my dreams.

Name: [Alpha]-0mega- (Or Alpha Unit Leader, 0mega)
Appearance: Me, but cooler :P with black clothing most of the times. And he always has a Samurai like Blade known as the "Alpha Blade" with him. (Same age as me too)
Abilities: Anything that's possible or Impossible.

Where you need a special technique to fly, I need nothing.
My "alter-ego" is near perfect :P, I can do anything without having to say it or to move.. I could technically play a whole dream without saying anything or moving. :P

But enough showing off my alter-ego. (I actually have an alternate theory now, that instead of ''posessing the alter-ego'', i'm supposed to do something different, but i'll post when that works out.

I can say though that he's really right, the alter-ego method works REALLY good (at least for me it does :P)

What I did was, basically focus on my ''alter-ego'' and force him into my dreams (Through the power of focussing), and it worked.

So just figure out how you want him to be, and Keep focussing for like... 10 minutes that you want him in your dream as your alter-ego. (It worked for me, just less than 10 minutes lol)

I did called my subconscious a name, as I wanted to try this method...

I chose Renoir, as I don't hear this name often in my days.

The catch is that i'm kinda scarred by this method, I don't want to alter my subconscious in any ways, I know about auto-suggestion and techniques about how to forge you presonnality, and I though that if used wrong, I might regret to do this naming subconscious thing...

Do you think I could just have this alter-ego IN DREAM, without being scarred that my suggestions might affect my waking life ?

I guess if one considers "Hey" a name, I call my subconscious that. I also think it with the same soft, feminine tone that it speaks to me with. It really only thinks back when necessary. It really has only said about four, albeit important, things. I completely hope for it to interact with me more often, we will see. Going to clear some things up in hopes of that.

Heh, as long as your a stable, rational person, nothing would go wrong with ''building an alter-ego'' in your dreams.
Unless your some kind of freak, I guess the biggest thing that could go wrong is that you get obsessed with the alter-ego, just as a young kid can get obsessed with power rangers (just to give an example)

Ive decided to change my alter ego to a character - same name - from a book im writing. Except that it will be when the character is evil/crazy. If you want to know why hes like that then you have to wait a few years when the book comes out. :reading: :D

And tell me more about [Alpha]-0mega and how you convinced yourself you can do anything when your him, also when you become Lucid how do you become him, im gona make myself "change" and become more powerfull.

Developing a positive interaction/relationship with your subconscious (SC) seems helpful. Overloading it with conscious designs, may not be useful.

In a post in another thread, Distant Clone inspired me to change from viewing SC as an obstacle tricking me from becoming luid, to viewing SC as a helper.

I remembered a strong dreamsign SC created and felt grateful. That night DS returned and I became lucid :D

After that I had another dream where a DC actually made me lucid and showed me a new RC. Whether this was a DG, internal self helper (ISH as per Tholey), or SC probably depends on ones belief system. To me it was a positive assistance.

Pre-determing the characteristics seems to be an attempt to control the SC rather than being open to its creativity.

i said lucky because yours is not a pre-teenager!

Hypernova.. that character description seriously looks like the OLD sephiroth (he had black hair, red eyes etc. etc.). Applied to cloud? :P

Anyway, I just almost had the ultimate lucid dream.
The ''Whatever in it'' told me not to tell anything about it though :P For it must remain a secret in case the Evil ones try to access their realm through the dreams.
So I won't tell, but it owns. badly. (Visiting other worlds besides the dream-world, anyone?)

Anyway, the BTB technique seems to give me a lot of lucid dreams (Go to SLEEP at 24:00, wake up at 4:00, go to sleep) Lol.

Hmmm yeah, though you don't HAVE to prepare your alter ego... You can just be him by visualising him as yourself in a dream. As a friendly advice, you should focus on first becoming lucid as yourself... You'll have to get used to the oniric world first before trying to be someone else... I've been LDing for a year and I still got works to do... So does everyone on this board...

The character thing came into my dreams faster than the lucidity.

Though now I am enlightened, I have to say, it's better to become ONE with all, rather than to create an alter-ego.

Now that I have the true feeling of me ''Being Me'', and not a creation of my mind, I still look the same as the alter-ego I created, but it is no longer an ''other person'' It really IS me, this put me one step forward on the journey to what I like to call:

First my "character" does not ressemble Sephiroth in anyway neither Cloud for that matter. Secondly i dont have to really prepare him anyway since i already have with my book. Thirdly i have already explored the LD world and the point is ive had no luck in doing anything, i think that using a alter - ego may be 1) fun 2) help to be able to preform abilities. If this works for me then fine thats brill, i really hope it does, it sounds like fun and once i used him i proberly wont need to again since ive already used those "abilities", its like the first time is always the hardest but once you get used to it its easier. Another thing is the character i created is real to me since hes from my book-in-the-work and he plays by the rules of my book's world which i can incorparate it in my dream in a way. Its realy whatever works best for you. Since i have not been succesfull with anything else. But even though i havnt used this "character" yet to the full extent or even to any extent it seems that it has improved my LDing already with more Vivid ones and longer ones.

The chracter IS me anyway, its basicly realy me with just some mask on, its not fooling anyone but it gives me the "courage" to do what i want, like frankensteins sunglasses in BIG DADDY.

You have a mask on, so you're not ''fully'' yourself :P
Anyway, I forgot what Final Fantasy it was, but there's a final fantasy in which there's a ''sephiroth'' character which has EXACTLY the same colors as you mentioned (black hair, red eyes) and as you referred to cloud in your character description, I basically assumed it was that :P

Na its ff7 and he does not have black hair he has gray, no red eyes and his hair is realy long going down his back. I see what you mean but also what im doing is that when i become Lucid i gain this "power" - actually see this power around me - this power will make me be able to use any "ability" however doing this does not always work for me so i will take this a step forward and create an image for me when i gain this "power"

I may be losing the plot abit but ive been trying loads of diffrent things but nothing is happening also it seems kind of fun to be someone else than me for a change. In the dream world i do what i want, i am free from the crapiness of life, im no longer "me"

No really, there was another FF with a sephiroth kinda character with WHITE COAT, black hair, and red eyes. I know what the ff7 sephiroth looks like =_=

He wasn't ''REALLY" called sephiroth though.
I think it was FFIV or FFVI.

but w/e, I don't look like ''me'' either, But It's hard to explain.
Let's put it like this: Where you have created an alter-ego you become.
I stay myself, and instead, I will change into my alter-ego (looks-wise).
I keep my identity, as where you ''turn into someone else''.

It's hard to see a difference in that :P But that's just because it's hard to explain xD.

meh , i havnt even tryed it yet, only once and that was before i knew what i was gona do.
Also youve "been" with this alter ego for some time now,you can now take a step away from it. I just need some help getting started into properly controling LDs

Another thing is that you cant actually turn into someone else in a LD you can just really look different and do different things, its like when you were little and you pretendid do be a super hero. You werent actually that person but you could do those powers (in your mind) Or maybe im the only one who used to do that :oops:

I think they will mind, it's that the ''evil things'' will access the ''place i'm not supposed to talk about'', if other people know about it. :P

What I CAN say though, is that It was ownage in MY eyes, because i've been looking for something I call ''The Watcher", as some kind of ''person'' who lives in the dream-world, and watches over all of it. Something like a "god" of dreamworld :P
And I think I found him/her/it in the place i'm not supposed to talk about :P

And the super-hero thing, what you do is:
You ACT like someone else (So you ''are'' superman)
What I do, is I change my OWN appearance, but i'm still acting like myself.

Eg.:
You:
Created a character with magic stuff as some kind of alter-ego ''hero?"
If you are the same as that kid, you act like that ''alter-ego'' (so you don't act like yourself).

I:
Change my own appearance to what I like, but I will still act as myself.

The kid which you talked about just now ''plays'' some kind of super-hero who saves the day :P, that's not who ''the kid'' is. He's just some child who wants to play.

Its the same with me, the kid wants to save the day, he cant do it as himself so he becomes someone else. I want to do abilities, i cant so i become my "character" to do so.

Anyway we should stop with that. Talk about YOUR alter - ego when you "became" him unless you were always the LD pwner! Theres no point me continuing untill i have an LD so i guess ill talk tomorrow (hopefully, il use DILD tonight or DILD (easier) i like FILD cause you hardly have to do a damn thing and theres no mucking around in scary SP, those voices still haunt me!)

My Alter-Ego, I don't really become him (Only in the beginning).
I just taught myself to ''be myself''. And it suits me just fine, I have all the abilities I could ever wish for and I don't even have to ''act like someone else'' :P.

So in my case, in LD's it gave me more power to be myself instead of my ''self-created'' alter-ego (it was easy to ''get rid'' of that idea though :P).

Anyway, in DILD I never get SP problems =/. lol

Anyway, in the time I had my alter-ego, he looks exactly like I look ''myself'' in my ld's now.
But he had.. basically every power you could imagine (same as when i'm LD'ing lol).
But he mostly just slashed away with his samurai blade, killing and killing and killing and killing till every ninja / monster / demon was dead... Which took the whole dream.

In my lucid dreams, I simply wave, and everything dies, much much easier :P

Well I just wanted to say that I got my first LD through naming my subconscious so I like it this way. It wasn't all that great but it still was my first LD and an LD is an LD.. just glad I got one! Anyways, I didn't really do much except early in the day when I read this post I made a good name I'd remember and before I went to bed, just said to myself once somehow... I just said the name then said "Give me a lucid dream tonight, please" I think I'd rather ask it to do it then command it and say "I demand a lucid dream!" or something...

I don't know if I'd use him to control my dreams much at first, though if eventually I'm able to conjure up a clear image of him I'd like to manifest him as a character. It would be an interesting experience.

DAMN i had a great chance to have a LD last night! I fell asleep at 12am and woke up at 1am, this was really good since i usually wake up at 4am and i have to wake up at 6am every week day, but on weekends i usually wake up at 1-3pm! I could of easily used the FILD but i just couldnt be bothered for some stupid reason!!!!!!! I suppose im a little afraid it might make me have a SP although i had a short one last night, i felt my body tingle and i started "spining" but i woke up quikly, im less afraid of them now! Also im proberly gona start a DJ sson so watch OUT!
