Here's a quick question for you:
Have you ever eaten food in a lucid dream? What did it taste like? Have you ever tasted something in a dream that was amazing, and unreal?
I'm thinking about making a bit of chocolate in my next lucid.

Ahh good question, keep meaning to really try out my senses in a dream!! Im gonna have a banquette :3
Food usually tastes much better in a dream.
Interestingly enough, in a deep dream, you can't discern it from reality, which is REALLY cool.
I am guessing that through this, you can make your life a lot easier if you're on a diet, because the taste, smell, feel is the same as in reality.
I once ate a banana in a dream, it tasted exactly like banana...
that wasn't interesting enough (:P) so I changed its taste from banana to peach cobbler, (while it was on my tongue) then a few seconds later to blueberry cobbler.... then pizza :) food in dreams tastes like food does when you haven't eaten anything all day, then you just put that snickers on your tongue and you get a rush of chocolaty flavor, but then it dissipates as you get used to it.
its like that in dreams except it never discipates
Now you're making me hungry.
I want to eat lucid chocolate...yum.
I had this dream in which I ate a really big chocolate egg with a lot of milk. It tasted better than the real thing and it was so vivid...I want more :D
It sounds interesting eating in your dreams, I had eaten something though that I created in my dream, tasted good and like nothing I've eaten in reality. :laughhard: Was quite a while ago though, but I somewhat remember the taste!
yeah i remember when I was in a lucid state....I was walking around and came across a food cart and i just stuffed my face with fruits to see what they all taste like.....pretty good.
I keep meaning to try this out, but I always end up getting busy doing other things and playing in the playground that I don't end up doing it.
I've got to put it on my list of things to do in a LD and really remember to do it.
yes I have it's a candy ...but taste!! wasn't good? :?
maby 10 years ago I dreamt that I drank a pepsi. It was Soooooo good! Then I woke up and was really dehidrated. My mother told me she ate the best soop ever in a dream once,,,
I would eat *****. 8)
Oh it blanked it out.
All the dreams that I've eaten food in weren't lucid, but they still tasted great. Here's how stuff ended up tasting:
Beer: It's what butterbeer would taste like in Harry Potter
Chicken: The most perfect piece of chicken I've tasted in my life. It had the perfect flavor in the meat and the breaded part was light yet crispy.
Candy: There was this new lemon kind of candy that had guarana caffeine in it I think. Tasted great.
So far, no food in my dreams has tasted bad.
I always seem to have beer in a lot of my dreams, it tastes bitter yet smooth. Ive also tried steak and chocolate milk in a dream, they were great, way better than any of the real life equivalences.
Eating in dreams really is worth it. For example, I don't really care about chips, but when I once ate them in a dream, they tasted so good. Spicy, not too salty, not so fatty, just delicious. Usually food tastes a bit like they actually do, but a hundred times better. Just a pity that I haven't had any food dreams lately.
"... and the shnozberries taste like shnozberries."
Heh, couldn't help myself.
Sadly, I don't seem to get much sensory perception in dreams, which really sucks. I only ever get sight :/
I don't think I really ever remember eating anything in my dreams...
last night i ate a french fry in a non-lucid dream, it was nasty...tasted like salted cardboard...
In my most recent LD (May 29/30...over 20 minutes real time!!) I had some mango...In real it's an amazing tasting fruit..In the dream it tasted like..rotton apples..
One other dream i hade a ice capp....except it was a coconut, vanilla tasting thing..It was amazing! And I sill crave from one to this day!
You can taste in dreams?
The only senses I have in dreams are sight and sound - I can't smell, feel or taste in dreams.
That's really strange to me - I'll have to remember to try to eat something if I can ever actually have more LD's.
I remembetr vaugely eating a piece of candy floss in a dream, but it wouldn't vanish in my mouth and tasted of hair, and when I tried to swallow I started to choke. I woke up, coughing, and coughed up a chunk of cat hair. One of my pets had been sleeping next to me and left a hairy present. Gak.
