Mass lucid dream - participants wanted

Reading all these posts about dreaming together and hacking into dreams gives me an idea for an event in which everyone can try to participate. If possible I'd like to try repeat events to keep trying for success.

So here's the idea, everyone meets at a location we all agree upon at a particular dream location at a particular time. It's not that I expect everyone to actually *be* in that real world location, but just having the *intent* of being at that dream location to see if we can all hook up.

First event location: Statue of Liberty
Time: March 20th, Saturday morning, 4am pacific, 7am eastern
Who?: All invited...

I would suggest trying to go lucid 15-20 minutes before the actual time. In addition I would try to hold a mental image of the Statue of Liberty. When you are lucid and to head to the Statue of Liberty I would suggest yelling 'Statue of Liberty' hold the image in your mind and point at any item until it causes you to change dreams.

Not really expecting anything, I just thought it would be hella fun to try and see what happens, who knows what might happen. Anyone interested?

we can pick other locations later... Or perhaps it might be best to just pick one and do it over and over again... if we succeeded at nothing else than just one of us seeing the Statue of Liberty I think that would be cool and would symbolize a potential for linking up with others to happen. My belief is that our intent is enough to link. All my lucid dreaming has just been solo, but I always thought how cool it would be to be able to connect with others in a shared lucid dream...

and when we're gonna meet up, lets have a big war with our special powers

Awesome idea. I believe someone suggested this type of idea a few months back too. It sounded good then, but not a lot of people really tried hard to accomplish it. I'm down. Count me in. I'll try my darndest to remember. Only problem with me is that I get excited when I become lucid, so I often forget about things I've previously contemplated trying in my dreams. I will get up around 3am Pacific time and stay up for a few minutes (10-15), focus on the objective and my fellow dreamers and get pumped for it - then go back to sleep. Good luck everyone. I hope we can do it.

Whoa, what if Dream Views became the first lucid dreamers forum to attain frequent mass lucidity?! That would be really cool. And then we could hold, like, weekly Dream Views meetings in our mass lucid dreams. And then become, like, dream super heroes! Ridding the dream world of evil and harm. Here's a quick thought for you all to chew on if you'd like - what if "Armageddon" is fought in the dream world? What if the dream world is the full manifestation of the subconscious realm? And there's your personal dream world (your unconscious mind) and groupings of dreamworlds (like maybe everyone on Earth) and larger groupings until the whole unconscious mind of the universe is grouped together. And then what if it is this realm (the universal unconscious or subconscious) that the final spiritual battle of good and evil takes place? And perhaps the things John who wrote the Revelation in the Bible saw are completely literal - because they are in this joined dream realm? Just some ponderances. Yay for Oneironauts! haha. :)

I have no idea if I can even get a lucid dream withing a week of the event, let alone within 20 minutes. I will try though, can't hurt and would be fun.

It'd be sweet if we could all meet up, it could be like the Dreamviews Staff meeting. Except unlike a regular staff meeting, WE'D have superpowers and stuff!

And there'd be more muffins. :P

If someone could really hack into someone dreams and was good at it, they should come and get everyone heh

I had a false meeting with Jill1978 at the Statue of Liberty one night (she didn't remember)

I also left an object at the base of one of the corners of the Eiffel tower for someone to find. So far nobody has found it yet. Hope it wasn't stolen! :(

That sounds awesome, but with my current skills, there is no way I could become lucid right when I wanted to. :roll:

whoa, great response from everyone. glad to see the interest level is there. I'm definitely looking forward to it. Statue of Liberty here we come... For those who don't think they can do it on command, just try anyways, wake up at the time, visualize the statue of liberty and go from there, maybe something good will happen!

Lowercase - sorry about the weird time difference, but hopefully the time warp works! I picked a time to try to accomodate everyone in US...

It's at the base of the stairway. Left pylon(?) as you are facing the river.

ahhh i get it now. well i will try it out as a test first before to see how it goes, sounds quite fun. all new stuff to me.

I can't make it as I already have Lucid Dream meeting at that time. Can we reschedule this or perhaps do this again?

Did anyone make it?

Sorry, but I was helping to restore peace to a small mid-western town.
I dont feel too badly though, the dream spanned about 2 days dream time and 3 hours real-time.
Tried to MILD 3 times and get to the Staue, but I always returned to the town.

I guess they needed me there.

Hey, let's all reschedule for Sunday morning!

i made it to the statue, actually several times. I had about 4 lucid dreams of it. First time I just yelled 'statue of liberty' and I ended up flying over the river next to manhattan. I saw the statue in the distance and flew relatively close to it. Then my lucid dream went all wiggy-like (mass distortion) and I ended up in the desert someplace.

Then I tried again. This time I saw a map of New York City and I saw the statue of liberty on the map. I pointed at it (to open a vortex) and I kinda spun into a view of myself flying on the outskirts of manhattan again seeing the statue of liberty off in the distance. This time I couldn't coordinate my flying direction with the way I wanted to go so I ended up overshooting it. I think my flying was like 5x too fast.

Next I was in this lucid dream where I zoomed into this room with this fine looking chick. (warning censor). So me and this lovely lady were enjoying each others company very much against a window overlooking a beautiful city scene. After awhile while I was going at it, I remembered that I was supposed to visit the statue of liberty. So I kinda tossed the chick and ran headlong into the window, shattered the glass and flew straight into flying over a view of the statue of liberty. I looked around on the ground and it was empty. I tried to find the pylon thing near the staircase, but didn't see any object. I guess in that one I kinda gave up cause I didn't see anyone and I lost the view.

Last time I tried I warped into this cool ass view of hundreds of humongous statues, similar size to the statue of liberty, and they were all on these mini islands next to each other with tons of people dressed in roman and greek outfits (some were dressed in english hunting outfits, bird feather in hat and all) admiring the wonderful statues. Funny thing was many of them looked similar to the statue of liberty but different in some way. Most were just roman and greek looking statues on a gigantic scale. The people milling around looked quite interesting. At that point I woke up. That was about 5:20am my time, so around 1.5 hours had elapsed.

I then changed sleep positions (i've found it affects lucid dreams). I then set out to go back into dreaming and find objects in my dreams, which I did for quite a bit. I think I did that for quite a bit then woke up and went back to sleep and had a bunch of regular dreams...

I am down for trying it out again sunday if anyone is interested. I'm curious to hear anyone else's experiences.

I woke up at 6.55 and found out that I'm supposed to be at my job at 7 :lol:

Sorry, at night before I went to sleep I kept repeating in my head that I had to become lucid and that I had to go to the Statue of Liberty. I wanted to show up as Lemmy Kilmister, so I was repeating that in my head too. In the end I ended up in Cancun, and later on in my room with Lemmy there jamming out... no lucidity though... :(

today is saturday unless u ......ahhhh! it was this morning dammit o well

Yeah I honestly don't think it would have worked out anyway... One thing that I've understood about dream sharing is that two indivduals must experience some type of, Mental, emotional, and/or physical connection for this to be possible. and even with that, one person must have the ability to share..

So, nobody wants to try again for Sunday? I'll do my best to be there.

shadow, i have heard the same thing, but i figured it was worth a shot. i've also heard that a location can bind people together if they have a common intent. that's the key. i still think it is possible and worth a shot.

i'm gonna try it again tonite, so seeker, if you wanna do it give it a shot.

next time maybe we can try another spot or a different technique. i will give it some pondering and see what I come up with.

I was lucid, but my teleportation was broken, so I tried to fly there instead.

Thing was, I couldn't find the silly thing. Just flew around looking until I lost lucidity.

Good thing however, fastest I have ever flown! Somewhere around mach1, which is really cool when flying down a country road lined on both sides with trees!

it was a bit troublesome for me to find it to the second night. so i just flew too :P oh well, next time I will propose a different location. glad to see you tried a second time seeker, i think it was worth trying out.

Alaurast, yeah I guess in my dream world I am a bit like a pirate, I kinda do whatever I like. After you LD enough you realize that you have total freedom and all kinds of abilities you don't have in real life. Honestly, it's hella fun and intriguing. But I am always putting myself in check to stay focused and not get swayed by all the beautiful dames on the way ;)

Well perhaps we can try something different in the future. I am still contemplating it. I think something like all focusing on an image or a person at the same time. Some way to link up without necessarily all being in the same spot, it seemed a bit problematic.
