Stupid Bucket! Lucid Task
I know that the month is over! But I wanted to try the lucid task of May. I can't plan to have a lucid dream, or atleast I never have in the past, they either happened or they didn't. So I decided yesturday I would try out some tecniques for the first time.
I read over all the different lucid techniques, I wasn't sure which one to try first? One thing to note is, I take FOREVER to fall asleep. My mind is normaly on fire with daydreams, thoughts and the like. I tried a VILD though. . . . Didn't work. . . not one bit. . . But during my VILD I tried to also think of a bucket. And I kept calling it my dream challenge.
My first dream - nothing spectacular happened. Nothing in my VILD transferred, and I didn't remember anything about buckets..........I woke up after that dream and scribbled it down on a notepad. Then I fell back asleep.
This time I have a false awakening, I'm in my room! I think its real at first. The sun is shining brightly in my room and I'm half asleep on my bed too lazy to get up. My family is being loud and annoying while getting ready for work. And my mom tells me were in Boston - a completely different city? And that our home here in Boston is at least three hours away from our real home and real city.
This upset me sooo much. It means whenever we go out - thats a three hour drive to somplace and a three hour drive back. I got so upset I jumped out of bed to argue with mom about living in Boston!!
Oh wait....I'm dreaming................I look at my hands "I'm DREAMING! I gotta ..........do.........my.............dream......... challenge???" So the VILD did something! I stood in my dream room and thought to myself..."Theres a bucket in the bathroom. It'll have a hole..and then I fix it with the stuff under the cabinet and pour water in it..Easy enough!"
I took a step foward to go to the dream bathroom...but then I looked at my room. IT WAS A MESS. The furniture was rearranged the wrong way! And then I thought how much FUN skills!!!!! So I tell myself "I'll do the bucket...in a minute........"
I start with a heavy shelf - I stand there for a while focusing. It takes a bit, but it finally budges and lifts up! Once lifted it was as light as air and I gently placed it on my bed. I did this with all the furniture and rearranged my room! The computer desk was the trickiest, the keyboard and computer kept wanting to slide off. And the desk itself took ages to finally lift up.
"There we go! All done!" My room is nice and neat now and I feel more confident with dream telekinesis!!! But before I can head to the bathroom, my vision gets fuzzy - I'm waking up! Panicking I start to think about what I've read on this site. What do you do when youre about to wake up! I remembering reading....

I spin around! Ok...what the hell. That just made me loads dizzy! :dancingcow: I can almost see my REAL room - but before I wake up, I jump out my window. It worked like a charm! My dream is back on and in extra vibrant colors and details. I'm upset at myself. I should have gone to the bathroom and tried out the bucket! Now I'm too afraid to go back inside, too afraid I'll just wake up.
I've landed on a clear running stream of water, next to it is lush green grass with dew. I think to myself "I can use the stream to test out the bucket!" But where am I gonna find a bucket here??? I remember someone had said you can materialize objects? I'm not sure how that would work, but I focus on the running clear stream and I think about a brocken bucket.
Is my vision going blurry or is that ghostly blob a bucket forming?
A loud screeching sound startles me!!!! I turn around. Theres a mad monkey man with golden long hair jumping up and down. If there was a bucket forming, I forgot it! And its floating down the stream. This isn't just any monkey man - this is an RPG character I came up with less than a week ago! And I had soo much trouble visualizing him.
But here he was, the way I DREAMED he would look. I took a step towards him. It felt heavy. Something was screaming in my head "THE STREAM!! LOOK AT THE STREAM!" Screw the bucket, I told myself.
The screeching monkey man ran off into a forest, where the rest of his kind live. There were also lions, pumas and other wild animals. I was so...um...TEMPTED. Its not often I see wild animals in a dream. And how could I miss the chance to see my own RPG monkey race realized for me in a dream? :D
so um..I guess this means I failed??
