Has anyone tried just doing nothing for an extended period of time in a dream? I wanted to test out what would happen, but I keep forgetting to do nothing.
I'd be curious if the scenery changes without trying to manipulate anything?

Not sure what you mean by nothing?
You are always doing something unless your floating in void... then again you are floating and void and stil doing something?
yep, your always doing something. when you think you aren't, think again...you are existing.
maybe someone could try and transform there scenery to somthing ALL white, like in the movie the matrix, then you could make anything you wanted appear. When you think about it, dreams are very similar to that movie. wow.
What I really meant was not remaining busy, doing experiments, going into another room. The lucid equivalent of meditating. Or at the very least, TRYING to keep everything unchanged.
Just curious, because I always seem so busy in these lucid dreams. I certainly don't want it to wind up being the same as my real life (if you know what I mean...)
Sure I have had long lucid dreams where I was able to sit and experience, I sat in the deep woods for a very long time, I dont know how long actually I lost track, the nice thing about it was I could do just that, nothing to distract, didnt have to take a leak not hungry thirsty...
While you were sitting idly by, did anything happen of its own accord...without your seeming influence? Any passersby? Animals appear?
Did your "body" get stiff?
My body did not get stiff, actually to be certain, I am not sure if I had one hehe, perhaps thats why I was so unhindered by it.
As for the forest, yes birds chipmunks and at one point two deer, one of them looked at me, unconcerened mus have felt me there, and the two continued on their path nibbling at the grass in the glenn
Oddly enough I expereinced the same thing witht the deer in oregon sitting agains a tree deep in the woods off the path.
I once tried just closing my eyes while lucid, and as expected, everything went black, with no sounds or images. I only held it for a few seconds.
every time i close my eyes while lucid, it makes me wake up!
