CILD (Cat Induced Lucid Dream)

so i am awakened around 5.20 by the sounds of Gandalf and Jako going at it. usually, they're pretty tolerant and sometimes even friendly with each other, but of course that all goes out the window in the early morning hours. eventually, nancy gets up and goes to sleep on the living room couch so she can break them up if they fight more and so i can hopefully get some more sleep before i have to get up and go to work. but i'm having trouble falling asleep again, as is usually the case if i am awake for more than just a few minutes. eventually, i glance at my alarm clock and notice it says 12 something. i think, that's weird, it should be 5 something. so i look at the clock again and it's doing the Waking Life digital clock thing. so i figure either i'm asleep or i'm just really tired and can't process my visual input very well. so i reach up and plug my nose, then take a deep breath. i'm asleep. sweet! so i get up out of bed and walk into the living room. i want to go outside, but i am naked. (normally, i don't sleep naked, but let's just say that i was too exhausted to put my pajamas back on earlier . . . ) so i look at the digital clock on the vcr and it's also doing the Waking Life thing. so i open the front door and go outside in all my nude glory and start just wandering around, looking at everything, thinking how cool dreamworld logan is. (oddly enough, the section of town i was wandering in is not actually where my house is.) throughout this whole thing, i am frequenly plugging my nose and breathing through it, because i just can't get over how cool it is that you can do that. eventually, i come upon a creek and think, wouldn't it be even cooler to breathe underwater? so i jump in. once i'm in, it turns out to be much deeper and wider than it originally seemed. i am standing up straight in about 10-15 feet of water. i am a bit worried that i won't be able to breathe since i'm underwater, but i take a deep breath anyway. of course, it works. i think about how cool it is, and i am still underwater breathing when my alarm clock goes off. bloody mornings.

Imagine if someone did sleep nude and they woke up and thought they were having a lucid dream. Then they went outside to walk around. If someone comes up to them, they would just assume that they are a dream character and it doesn't matter if they are offended by your nudity. Imagine explaining all of that to a police officer when you get caught and you realize that you aren't dreaming. Hehe.

And I love the feeling of breathing underwater. I had a very vivid dream once and I was on some docks floating in an ocean. I jumped in and it was much deeper than I imagined (like kage23 said with his river) and there were a bunch of sea creatures and stuff. I think that one was probably my favorite dream.

ha! that'd be pretty funny. i'm sure that's part of the reason ni kept breathing through my plugged nose. partly just because it's cool, and partly to keep reassuring myself that i really was dreaming and not actually wandering the streets of logan nude!

Yeah, that's why you need to make sure that you are dreaming before doing anything that would cause problems in real life. Usually that's not too difficult, though, at least for me.

But ain't it great to just be naked, and have no one make a fuss over it? For some reason, that's been a very common element of my dreams ever since I was quite young. Not the typical "OMG I'm naked at school" nightmare -- just that I often am naked in my dreams, and nobody else seems to even notice. Hmmm.... maybe I should be offended? :lol:

yes, it definitely is! although i don't think i encountered any people in this particular dream. i used to have a lot of dreams where i would be in school and i would go to the bathroom and when i came back to class i would realize that i had forgotten my pants and underwear. nobody ever noticed, but i was always embarrassed. i don't ever really have them anymore. maybe i'm getting more comfortable with my body and with other people possibly seeing my body.
