I had a dream about a week ago in which I had a false awakening in my parents living room. It was night and I could see a clear silouhette of a Christmas tree against the dark blue sky through the open curtains and thought to myself:
"Why would there be a Christmas tree up in December? This must be a dream!"
And thus became lucid. :) I thought it was rather funny afterwards.
Anyone else become lucid through strange or false logic?
Embarrassingly enough, I've had times when I thought I was becoming lucid (because of false logic) when I was really awake. I look at one of my friends and think "I don't think this isn't a real person I know, the memories I have of this guy feel like they were just created by my mind right now." I try to start flying, just stand there and expect to go up in the air, then I'm like "Damn, I coulda sworn...".
One time I became lucid in a dream because of no logic at all. I just skipped the step where you use a reason and was like "Holy crap, this must be a dream". Turns out I was right that time. :?
Hehe yeah, I reckon this comes through so often though, is because our unconscious mind knows all along, and lets slip to our conscious, and we just try to rationalise it, in our irrational sleeping minds! xD
