Dont know what happened
hey guys after a crazy night of dreaming last night with several very real dreams, I think I became lucid in one of them. I have been lucid before and know the feeling only this was somehow different. I saw a door with light blasting behind it, so I went to it and opened it. I started to fly above the universe looking down on it. But this is how it was different I was telling myself that I was dreaming and trying to think of a different place to go, but it couldnt happen. It was like I was conscious in my dream but unable to control it. Any thoughts?

Welcome too the forum!
I've had several dreams like this. The only reason you couldn't move is that it was probaly low level lucidity, so basically you were concious enough to try to move. but the dreams till had enough grip on you to prevent it. If you can, just keep thinking, INCRESE LUDICITY, or I HAVE CONTROL, that type of thing.

thanks for the message, I did do checks when I was in my dream, but I guess I was too excited to become fully lucid, ohh well practise makes perfect :)

Hmmm you mean you couldnt get your dream to change, or you couldnt control yourself? If you mean the location wouldnt change, chances are you were in a HIGH lucidity dream, and so you couldnt easily just imagine somewhere else, and see it appear. Or atleast that's what happens to me!

yeah I couldnt get the location to change, I remember saying to myself what happens depends on your imagination but then I dont remember anything else :<

Aha, yes its really hard to change your location while you're looking at it. There are many other methods of getting to where you want to though. Inventing teleporters, spinning, doorways that lead there, etc. it's just a case of 'concealing' whatever you want to reach!
