Well, that's not something anyone can really answer definitively (except Leo, who'll tell you something about a High Spiritual Soul, or the collective consciousness, I guarantee it.)

I suggest you avoid being frustrated in your dreams when you find you can't get down. Getting frustrated and shouting probably won't help.

My problem with flying was the opposite: trying to stay up. What I found helped was planning on how to fly whilst I was awake. I worked out a way to hover, and how to control the flying, and then when I was in the dream I used that method, and it worked. I can't say whether it'll help for you, but it's worth a try.

      Yowch!

Anyway, try changing the 'gravity' of the place you're in. That might help. Also perhaps trying weighted boots, anchor shoes or something similar! Try and find 'excuses' to not float and hopefully a few should work!

Try focussing on an area in the lanscape where you want to be. You may find yourself flying there.

i have problems controlling my flight, too. what helps me, after i get the hang of flying, is to find a pole or some object that is rooted on the ground. grab it and just push yourself down by using it as a guide.

      Hi

I almost had the same problem that you have (unfortunately it still happens once in a while ), but when I "took off", I didnt just float, I was almost catapulted 100 miles up in the air in no time, and that made me scared I guess, because I always woke up when that happened. This didnt alway happen, but perhaps 3 out of five times, and only when I was out in the open when I was trying to fly.

The way I get pass this, is to be inside a room before attempting to fly. Then I concentrate on hoovering slowly, and not flying around too much, before I feel totally comfortable and have all the "controls" mastered (up and down, right and left, etc). And when that happens, just fly out the window and have fun!

Try to mentally drag the planet towards you.

Chances are that you are uncapable of properly focussing on yourself to go down, resulting in ''nothing''.

Try dragging the floor towards you, instead of you going towards the floor..

I'll give my crappy suggestion. In similar effects it has worked for me, but I won't get into that because it's irrelevant.

Rather than focusing on the fact that you're still floating while you try to lower yourself, focus on lowering yourself while you try to lower yourself. The former leaves you with the notion of retaining flight in the back of your mind, and since dreams are a work of your mind, you retain flight.

I'm not sure if this will work for you because I haven't had that problem. I don't know how you fly, (I personally just swim through the air) so I can't suggest anything further about landing.
