      Hotel.

      Dream (October 17, 2003)

Last night I had another lucid dream. (I have about two a week) I had just ended a dream about being in a 5-star hotel, VERY nice. Then I realized I was dreaming, and was back at the hotel. I went to the front desk to get a room. As I was speaking with the woman at the desk, I ckecked my front pocket for money. I expected it to have a wad of cash in it, and so there was. The woman is being difficult. All I want is a room. "I'll just have a talk with the manager and you just might lose your job." (I say something along the lines of that.) Her face becomes serious. She says, "A-O (room number?), wait for (some name that starts with an 'S'). (This happened to be the same man that served us lunch in the last dream) Behind me there are several middle-aged men. They must have seen the money, I thought. They now have smirks across thier faces. I know that if I run, they will surely catch me. They start to aproach me. Just then, a young black man and another man (I couldn't see) stand up and block the dangerous men. I feel relieved and thankful. I promise myself that I will ask them to join me for dinner, and maybe give them a place to sleep. (despite the fact that they were in a 5-start resteruant they looked poor) When I get to my room, it is actually a cabin. I go from room to room, observing the luxuries.

Have you had a lucid dream in which you were served properly? I am wondering If you go to a resteraunt and order food, will you eventually get it? Please share your experiences here.

I don't know about that question. How lucid were you in that dream (you decided to check out the hotel rooms)? You probably would get the food.

Sorry for the useless post... JUST IGNORE ME OK??!!

      no really, comment was appreciated.

the dream wasn't the most vivid dream i had, but it was lucid. i now have the ability to keep very calm upon gaining lucidity, so i mostly observe and practice staying in the dream for as long as possible. (now my LD last as long as a normal dream maybe longer) i thought i would get myself a hotel room, check it out, eat some snacks, you know...think of all the room service i could get with that wad of cash! anyway, i just wanted to know if service works in the dream world as in real life, so that i could politely get things. (as opposed to forced control) i really want to be a nice person in my dreams, not cause any trouble, and follow along with the dream world. i don't want to disturb anyone.

i know this sounds REALLY stupid, because it's all in my head, but it's just what i want to do.

Lol ok. That makes more sense because it might make the dream more realistic, but I'm pretty sure that's not why ur doing it.

Well, it's your dream, so it's going to differ greatly from my own. I suppose it depends on a number of things: your mood, your perception of the thoughfulness and consideration of others, and what you may (even secretly) want to happen. Without even being aware, you're willing the actions of those around you in your lucid dreams.

      realistic

Not I, sorry Paperdoll. Most of my dreams are like out of this world bizarre. I guess that comes from growing up on comic books, sci-fi and fantasy novels, and, of course, the Bible. Not to mention having a very analytical, yet right-brained personality... Anytime I am lucid, I usually go for broke as far as testing the limits go. Maybe I just have a shorter attention span...
