Not Thinking Clearly In Dreams

I just had an LD last night that only lasted a few minutes, but it was my longest yet. I used to wake up a lot the moment I realised that I was dreaming before last night. Anyway, It never occured to me to try this months lucid tasks, and I completely forgot all the stuff that i've been wanting to do. All I did in the dream was materialise a beretta 92fs (which didn't work), and climb onto the roof for a failed attempt at flying. Then I woke up. When I woke, I was happy and slightly disappointed at the same time. It never occurred to me to attempt any of the stuff that I've been wanting to do for so long

Does anyone else have this problem with thinking clearly in dreams, or is it just me?

Does anyone else have this problem with thinking clearly in dreams, or is it just me?

Yeah, definitely. It's kind of a symptom of a low level lucid. Try focusing on details like your hands and staying calm and clearing your mind. But yeah, in half of my lucids I'm just really impulsive and don't even think about what I planned on doing.

I never can remember to do what I wanted to do. And my guns never work either.

When you really really really really want to do something in a lucid, say that to youself. Billybob said once that if you think like "oh boy i can't wait till i get lucid i want to do something much i want to fly i want to whatever etc etc etc" you'll waste your lucid dream.

hmmm. It seems what I see visually directly relates to my state of mind. It's like my dreams are always blurry and I have to just sorta passively observe for awhile. What I do is constantly remind myself of little things that make me realize I am lucid. After awhile the dream gets clearer - and so does my state of mind. I guess in my case I have to let the dream stabalize before I try to get too involved or alter it too much. when the dream does stabalize so does my thinking.

I have this problem too, although if I really want to do something I can usually remember to do it. But I do have trouble thinking clearly, or at least I don't act the way I know I would if I was completely in control. I guess (I hope!) that this is just because I've been having rather low level lucids.
