I just got back into lding a couple of weeks ago and I just have my second LD. I had a FA and attempted to float and succeeded. When I attempted to fly I just felt too heavy and woke up. Is this a normal feeling or was it just that I lost touch with the LD? Does anyone else feel heavy when coming out of an LD?

I have never personally never experienced this, but any inability to do pretty much anything in an LD, comes from your belief that you won't be able to do it. If you try hard to understand that the only limit in an LD is your imagination, you should succeed in doing anything you want.

Back when I was a kid and first experimenting with flying, this happened ALL the time. The shit was pretty frustrating, actually. I had such a hard time learning to fly. A lot of times I would run, jump up into the air like superman and then slowly start descending until I was lying flat on my face on the ground. I began to learn that, the more I was thinking about how "unbelievable" it was that I was flying, the harder it would be to stay airborne.
It's a lot easier when you don't think about the physics of flying and "just do it."
