Novice ready for the lucid challenge.
[color=blue]Hello all.
I have been reading the posts with great interest and i am going to start a dream journal tonite with the aim of becoming a lucid dreamer. Just bought a cool digital voice recorder today to record my dreams in the night as they happen,i'm quite excited to try it, but also very pragmatic as i know that i don't always remember dreams every night, and LD doesn't just come right away. I have been interested in LD for years and have had a handfull over my lifetime. My most recent lucid dream occurred just over a week ago, and the experience was so liberating that it inspired me to make a continuous and serious attempt to do it more regularly. My dream started normally, and i don't even remember the early details of it, but as often happens to me, in mid dream, i got pulled away from whatever i was doing or who i was with and was lost in an outdoor labyrinth of paths and walls that i knew i had to find my way through to get back to where i was. Ususally this hopeless search continues for me until i stop dreaming and/or wake up, but this time i realized, dammit i'm dreaming, so, i decided to fly. I took a running start and took off, skimming along the ground at first, but with a pushoff with one hand i quickly took off above the clouds. I remember using a swimming motion to make myself keep moving and go faster. After time the dream began to fade and the lack of landmarks below made the flying get boring, so i visualized a moving train way below for me to chase and keep up the momentum of my flight. After this i woke up, very exhilirated and satisfied. Just wanted to share my experience. I hope i will be able to write back soon with another LD experience. Maybe the process of posting here will help to subconsciously inspire me in my LD program.
Cheers :)
Re: Novice ready for the lucid challenge.
Congrats to your lucid dream !!! And good luck with the further training ...
Btw, if you don't already have it, you may give a look to the following book:
Stephen LaBerge: Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming
It's recognized by many people here as very helpful (and also my current guide to dreamland).
btw Paperdoll, I was FIRST suggesting it ! NYA NYA NYA NYA NYA NYA
:laughhard:

Yes, please keep us informed of your progress! I like your idea of using a voice recording device. No one really likes scribbling down details of their dreams at 4 in the morning. :wink:
