I Think I Did It!

Only the second day, too.

It was about 11 and I felt like I was about to go to sleep, so I started doing that FILD thing. (yeah, I know that's not how you do it) I tried not to count, and at least a minute must have passed by before I tried to do an RC. I reached up my hand to plug my nose, thinking "this isn't gonna work, you moron", but I plugged my nose....

And could still breath! Yay!

It took a second to dawn on me that I was having a lucid dream. I was about to try and get up but my brother's snoring woke me. Dammit.

It was all quite vague, I think it definitely happened though.

Wow! :D Nicely done! Great job on the technique and RC - I'm sure there will be many more LDs to come.

It was REALLY weird, plugging my noise and still being able to breath... I can't describe it. Kinda creepy.

Well at least now you know what RC works for you. :)

What I'm afraid of, is thinking about something that scares me too much and it really happens. I read that could happen, right?

Yes but if you're lucid you know it's not real anyway. That's the beauty of LDing with control - you can change things as you see fit.

There's some things that really scare the crap out of me though and I'd probably just want to get up right away.

Well you will be lucid so like Burns said, you know it won't be real.

Now that's interesting a Lucid Nightmare? Does it happen? Has anyone created any threads on it that I can be directed to? I would love to read someone's experience in this area.
