I was on vacation sleeping in an unfamiliar bed for a week. I never thought I'd be able to have a lucid in a crappy bed. But I did. My first dream unfortunately ended, but I immediately fell back to sleep thinking about more dreaming. When I entered my next dream, I was reading a newspaper and the only legible word was "dream" so I knew I was lucid. Once I said I was lucid, the environment changed and I ended up in a pond. I did the spinning technique to hold the dream (it does work) but my control wasn't what I had hoped for. Lucidity lasted about 90 seconds until I lost interest because my control was weak.
