This is a little diddy I had last night.
I work nights so my lunch was around 10:30pm or so, I went to wendies and then came back to work ate in my car and decided to take a little nap.
My mind faded into the buzz of the half state of consiousness and sleep, I could hear my breath coming in an even gurgling rasp... My car is comfey but hey it still a car.. weird neck angles and all.
As I drifted to sleep I realised I was still aware of my environment including visually. At first I just thought I was day dreaming, however my perspective then shifted out from where it was supposed to be, namely my head, ok odd, well whatever, I wonder what things looks like from the other side of the steering wheel?
My point of view slowly shifted to my bodys left and traveled along the door, getting closer to the steering wheel and the dash. I then tried to pan the view back twards me it shifted slowly as my perspecive came to rest inbetween the instrument panel and the steering wheel, the view was still slowly turning to me, I wanted to see how absurd I looked sleeping as I was.
The detail was not that great, it was dark and fuzzy.. but then again I was sitting in the parking lot at 11:15 at night so it was dark and fuzzy. I tried to make things clearer but to no resolve, the view was still turning to face me, the prehephrial soon came to my right arm but then I wondered
What time is it, I am technically supposed to be working.
I looked at my work pager and saw that it was 11:15 huh well I still got more time, 11:30 will do.
Wait a minute, I didnt move.. dammit.. I wonder what time it REALLY is.
I woke myself and saw it was 11:46, bugger, back to work.

Wow, I had fun reading this! Yes, I can completely relate to that. I have had few experiences where I take a semi nap. I would suddenly see everything again as if my eyelids were open except everything were fuzzy and blurry and my eyelids were still closed. The perspective thing would constantly change and that'd be very freaky, yet I would perceive it as a normal thing to experience till I wake up from it. Haha! It's trippy and I love experiencing it. I hope I can induce it once again someday soon.
Time completely sucks! I had that experience where I looked at the time in my car thinking that I was able to see time in real life and yet still can sleep at the same time. It ended up that I slept for two hours and I was supposed to be back at school in 30 min not two hours! Arrrrgh! I have had a hard time explaining why I fell asleep, etc. They thought it was a lame excuse and I got in trouble, but I survived. :P
