Been having great dreams, great dream recall, and vivid details in my dreams but for some reason I'm not recognizing I'm dreaming. Finally, I did.
Was dreaming I was walking down a street back to my apartment with my roommates (IWL I own a home, married, one wonderful 1yo daughter).
I suddenly heard Rush playing (I believe it was Tom Sawyer) faintly in the background. I said to my friends "It's so cool my subconscious plays Rush when we're near to my apartment..." as if it has happened before (the music). There was no music playing in the house in real life.. so it was purely created by my mind.
At that point I got semi lucid. I didn't have a plan, though, so I ended up pulling out a gun and shooting everyone. Why, I have no idea (I normally take the route of sex or flying). I just didn't have a lucid plan since I've been having problems lately gaining lucidity. And my aim was terrible. Like when you try to punch someone in a dream your arms are like lead weights.. I just couldn't aim.
Well, the lucidity didn't last and I returned to the dream, back at the apartment, all my buddies there sitting around the living room, dead or bleeding to death. I didn't recognize any of them as people I know in the waking world except one. He was dead, or so I thought, from me shooting him. Suddenly he gasped, woke up and a huge blood/mucous bubble came out of this mouth and I started laughing my butt off in my dream. He was obviously in pain. I asked him if I should "end it quick" for him and shoot him in the head, he said no. Dream ended.
