Hi I'm new to this forum and the concept of lucid dreaming. I started with a dream journal roughly
one-and-a-half week ago and I'm here to share the first lucid dream I had.
I was sitting in my living room talking to a stranger. I tought this was very strange so I decided to do a reality check. When I pinched my nose a found out I could still breathe! I AM DREAMING!
The euphoria was overwelming me but I remembered that I must calm my self in order to stay asleep.
After I calmed myself I came to the conclusion that I can now control my own actions. I tried to jump but I didn't go spectacularly high so I decided to go outside. I walked trough the wall to my backyard and jumped on my garage. On the top of the garage I saw some DC's busy with a strange machine. With my mind set on excercising dream control I didn't pay much attantion to it.
Standing on the roof I looked upon a star-filled nightly sky. What should I try to do I tought to myself?
"Let's turn the night into day!" I concentrated on a bright sky and after a few moments it started to work! The sky turned from deep blue to a cloudy white shade. I could see the sun trough the clouds and tought it would be nice if all the clouds were gone. I pointed my finger to the clouds around the sun and concentrated on them going away, and it worked. I continued to sweep the sky clear untill no clouds were left.
I stood on the roof my garage on a bright sunny day when i woke up.
After I wrote my dream down I was so happy about the dream I lay awake for another hour before I could get to sleep again.
Well this is it, I hope you enjoy reading it. :)

Thanks, but I'm rather disappointed now. This night I didn't remeber even one dream. :(

It's a rare person who lucid dreams every night or even two nights in a row. I've been lucid dreaming for over 8 years and, if I'm lucky, I LD once a week.
Most of us also experience "dry spells" where you may go for days, weeks, heck even months, without an LD.. the secret is to just relax and not to get so disappointed or frustrated that you give up trying.
