      Cool

Not posted in ages as I've not had any luck until this morning when I managed my first WILD...

Basically I had set my alarm to wake me up at 5am but when it went off I gave up on WILD very quickly and went back to sleep with it set for 90 mins later hoping to just concentrate on recall. At 6.30 I woke from a dream that I'm never going to repeat or record as it was just too messed up and I wouldn't want anyone to see it , then set my alarm again. When I woke up I actually hit the snooze button a few times before going to the toilet and then trying to WILD.

I was suprised at how quickly it worked as it was now about 8.20am and I'd had plenty of sleep. I think I counted to about 8 before I started to find it hard to concentrate and I noticed HI starting to form. A few breaths later and I felt a strong buzzing all through my body and realised I was now paralysed. I found it pretty hard to keep count and kept losing focus on my breathing but every time this happened I noticed it quickly and started counting again. I lost the vibrations a few times and also lost the SP once or twice but I found that staring straight ahead (with my eyes closed) while trying to focus on the area around what I was looking at helped to bring the HI back.

I saw a neon cube form and concentrated on that for a while and made it spin, then tried to turn it into a room that I could reach for and enter. I successfully made it into a room but it was too far away to reach for. I then saw lots of rippling blue so I imagined it was an ocean that I was doing backstroke in. This seemed to work but the colours were very cartoon-ish. I imagined rolling over to swim on my front hoping that this would let me break free from my physical body and sure enough I felt the most intense and kinda wierd sensation as my consciousness left my body behind.

My body was still on its back but I was now face down on the matress. I still had my eyes closed but I pushed against my matress and started to rise. I wondered if I would see my body when I opened my eyes but all I saw was a flash of a skeleton? I was now suspended above the foot of my bed amazed that I was actually successful in leaving my body. I stood on the floor and plugged my nose and tried to breath, which I could. I walked up to a clear space in my room and flew in a quick backflip just as I woke up.

Hey, congrats on your WILD! Pretty wild stuff, eh? I love that method.

It's amazing how HI solidifies on you and pulls you right into the dream.

So, your going to try again tonight, right?
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

Congrats! I had my first wild 2 nights ago and it was 100 times better than most any DILD I ever had. I had been trying every night (and a few times a week during naps) but never made it. When I did finally do it, I realized how close I had been countless times. Concentration is the key. Not to hard, but not too soft so you fall asleep.

I wanted to add, I WILDed right away when going to sleep at night. Only out for one hour but after it I felt like I had the best sleep of my life.. even the next morning I never felt better. And all day I felt a sense of clarity.

I had 2 fairly vivid dreams last night (non lucid) and I felt like I normally do in the morning.. .still tired, worn out, etc.
Only the cinders remain as another night becomes a yesterday...

Well... not exactly, lol. I work nights and was on my days off, hence why i was sleeping at a normal time. Was working through the night though so I'll be trying again when I go to bed in a bit

Speak of which, any other full time night shift workers here that could offer advice or tips? I'm convinced that working nights is hindering my progress somewhat as I only seem to get results on my days off, when I sleep more normal hours...
