Last night I was sleeping, and then my alarm goes off at 5:30. It goes off another time at 5:40, meaning I got approx. 6 hours of sleep.(does this have anything to do with the REM cycle?) I do not know if I am dreaming, or I am in the hypnogogic state, but I saw a golden mesh of criss-crossing lines. I remember reading this in another post that someone experienced this too. I recognize it is a dream, and I observe for awhile. I see playing cards being knocked over and diamonds. Then I see spades, and I decide to try to enter the dream. I feel like I was sucked in, and I find myself in a dark room. I cannot see with great detail, and I see a person. I
must of thought I was in bed, and I feel myself there(it is much more vivid than the mini-dream). I close my eyes as hard as I can and see the person in the room again. I finally give in and false awake. I go into a hallway, greet a man, and then, there is a break in my memory. Without waking up, I experience a bond-style action flick right when I am sleeping. It is my first LD and god do I hate false awakenings.

I used to hate them, but I have started recognizing them and have become lucid. In my FA's, I am usually trying to write in my dream journal, but something is stopping me. The last couple times that happened I immediately recognized what it was. And FA lucids may be slightly more high-level. Not saying a lot for me becaue I often don't have good control, but they seemed a little more controllable.
Maybe if you have enough of them, you'll start to recognize a pattern that you can use to get lucid.

Usually for me, it is much easier to become lucid during an FA. Thats mostly b/c most of my FAs are also SP. When I am in bed and cannot move, I instantly recognize I am dreaming. :) Though usually in an FA you just feel different than you would feel if you were really awake. Its hard to explain, but its true. I usually feel really lightheaded. :? But, I'm sure everyone has different ways to tell that they are dreaming.
You may want to start doing RCs as soon as you wake up though if you aren't doing so already. That could help you realize your FAs even more easily. :bigteeth: Anyway, good luck w/ your LDs.

You really gotta do an RC every time you wake up, tat way you will almost certainly catch an opportunity to become lucid. A bond style action flick huh? nice, that sounds like a pretty good LD. I also get very frustrated with FA's as well.
