Actually yes I have had this once, in mine I thought two of my friends were also Lucid Dreaming with me.

This is a lucid dream, though you probably felt like you were watching a movie.

This has happened to me once, I told myself I was dreaming (inside my dream) but didn't have any control over anything. Do you need to practice control?

Lucid Dreams are a lot like the matrix. The amount of control you have doesn't depend on how much practice you have, it depends more on how well you realize that nothing you see is real. "Do you really think that is air you are breathing?" Try to work around mental blocks you might have by tricking yourself. (eg. A flight pill.)

Here's my problem, my dreams are completely static. I have no say in them, infact i cant even participate in them as a viewer. How can I maintain a logical mind and tell myself its a dream, when I cant do anything at all?

I can't tell if you are talking about lucid dreams or normal dreams.

If you are talking about normal dreams there are plenty of techniques to help you become lucid. Pick one you like.

If you are talking about lucid dreams, then the first thing you should do in a lucid dream, is stop and admire your surroundings. Focus one by one on getting all of your senses. (eg. What does it smell like? What does it sound like?) This should help a lot to prolong your dreams. It should also give you more control.

If you still feel like you can't influence your dreams, try to just go with the flow, and see where it takes you. Unless you end up in a nightmare situation, it is bound to still be fun.

It's happened to me many times. It's called a semi-lucid. Kind of odd how your brain can't put the last pieces of the puzzle together to figure out that your dreaming about being lucid, but I don't know. My 'lucid dreams' or so I like to call them, 75% of the time actually 'semi-lucid'

      *cry*

If you want yeah. You sent the standards for your own count.

EDIT: If you even want a count, lol.

Yes, I've had dreams in which I was either having another dream (don't think it was lucid though), or was talking about lucid dreams I've had or wanted to have with other dream characters. My dreams are almost always in third and first person at the same time. As of late I am someone else in my dreams; a person I've never met, and everything that happens to them I feel, as if I'm inside their bodies . . . weird.
