Brutal Attacks--Getting Worse(Story)
This is a follow up on my last post, the name pretty much says all I need to say about it, other than this is the most recent encounter with them i've had
After becoming lucid, (WILD btw) I steaded the dream up a bit, and melded the scenery into a majestic rolling hill setting, As if in fast forward, clouds raced across the sky, growing thicker, and darker as they sped across the sky. Not think much of it, I continued walking along the hill, Taking in the lushious greenery, smelling that, "right before its about to rain" smell, all the sudden, a muffled growl behind me, at first low then in a crescendo proceeding into a howling scream, I knew at once It was happening again, I drew my two light swords and closed my eyes, Concentrating, sensing where they were, how many they were, and ho they were going to attack, focusing on my two blades, I slid instinctively into a fighting stance.
There were seven this time, More than any other battle I've fought with them. The Alpha(their leader) Circled at a distance, ready to sweep in and take me out.
LEFT! slicing through the air, my blade barely nicks his hair, as he jumps just out of reach the the tip. With my eyes still closed, I begin a kata, using broad sweeping motions, so as to effective establish my perimeter. All too quickly did they catch on to what I was doing, postioning themselves One charged me. All at once, I could hear his heavy snorting breath, Feel his heavy footfalls, taste his rancid presence. Doing a 270 degree spin I manuevered my blades into a defensive posture. As the beast was but inches from me I dropped into a crouch, and sprang back into double backflip, sending a razor sharp thowing Knife into the back of the attacking thwarg. Cries of pain and rage emit from it, as he slides across the turf. Changing his momentum back at me. This time positioning myself directly in the path of its fury. As this freightrain of a beast barrels towards me, I cartwheel left and Open his flesh with a long gash along his side. Enraged he kicks out high and hard, in a last ditch effort to hit me, A quick sidestep motion puts me safely out of reach. He plumets to the ground, with a THUD, making a trail of turned up earth in his path. A quick spinning jab through neck finishes him off. At the death of their packmember the Thwargs swarm in quickly, This time it is not one-on-one, But one-on-five, With the Alpha hanging back.
Still with my eyes closed, I drop back into a offensive stance, my blades threatning any careless beat who ventures too close. This time two charge from oppisite side, In one smooth motion I jump to the right landing on the face of one of the attackers, launch off of it to a spinning crescent kick across the others face,knocking him off balance A quick thrust, to his fur, CHINK! Blast I hit scales, And now the other Thwarg is right on top of me Spinning around I slice directly at face, Missed! He countered by spinning the same way, Connecting hard with his tail. I am thrown about 20 feet back, and I am pounced upon by three more Thwargs, their claws digging into the ground Trying to maul my flesh.
A few well timed and well directed rolls see me off the ground with the help of a pop-up, Quickly springing into the air in a 180 side flip, I'm caught midair by a powerful paw, And get SLAMMED into the ground,A burning fire shoots through my chest, as his talons puncture my skin
The air is forced from my lungs as the mighty paw crushes me into the hillside. Regaining my senses I stab desprately at the leg and paw, Finally Lifting it off, his jaw snaps as he goes in for the kill, Ramming my sword into his mouth I handspring backwards out of his reach. With a quick snap, he shatters my sword into several pieces.
Gingerly I touch the gouges in my chest, from the sharp talons of the beast. Not any vital damage. Still, my stamina has been significantly lessened by this. TOO LATE! The alpha had taken this opportunity to sneak up behind me, I, being to preoccupied to noticed, am caught totally off guard. Jaws like Vice Grips Lock onto my shoulder, Searing pain, as I feel the bones cracking and splintering. Using his momentum he swings over his head onto the ground 12 feet away. My left arm, now useless, hangs limply at my side. blood streaming down my arm and chest,
I Yell at the Thwarg, who is slowly coming towards me. A sickning smile on his face . . . he is enjoying this. "Never will you win this battle! Tonight you may have the upper hand, But tommorow night, I will be back, and pray that I do not meet you then."
He lunges through the air, Just what I wanted him to do. I impail my sword directly through his heart, he lands on the other side of me, dazed. We both stagger a bit. But he is not finished yet. I, not having any weapons position myself into my Too-san karate stance. His eyes flicker with hate towards me. Stinging pain! this time in my back, I feel my skin seperating in three places. As the other Thwarg, Slices my back, I fall to my knees, no longer able to bear the pain, agony. Bleeding severely from 3 places, I struggle to regain my feet. I finally open my eyes, to see the carnage that had been done, My vision began to deteriorate, pain is lessening, I'm waking up. *GASP* I start out of my bed, feeling my back, arm, and chest instictively. I get up, covered in persperation. get a cold glass of water.
