Yet another Lucid Dream

I had my second truely lucid dream since joining DV last night! It was low level lucidity, as the whole time I was sorta going in and out on the awareness that I'm dreaming. It also wasn't very vivid, except right at the beginning. The whole thing lasted somewhere between 5 and 10 minutes, closer to 5, which puts it at my longest lucid dream. I am not sure what method I used, either a DILD or a modified WILD, as I am not sure if I actually woke up before this or if I was dreaming that I woke up. It's probably a type of WILD though.

I woke up at roughly 2 in the morning, though I would not say that I was truely awake. I imagined myself slipping into a Lucid Dream. At the same time, I moved to tap someone on the shoulder, and intentionally missed. I knew there was nobody there, and I didn't see anybody there either. I just felt that I had to do that movement, that I couldn't have a LD without it. I'm not sure if I moved my actual body or not, but I doubt I did. The instant I 'missed' my hands became really blurry, and I started to see the outline of additional fingers. I clearly remember this happening twice, so it's likely I woke up from excitement the first time and did it again. But I was Lucid, and that's all that mattered. I quickly rubbed my hands together to stabelize the dream. I considered shouting something like 'Increase vividness', but I decided against it. This was my second real lucid, and I wasn't quite yet used to the feeling. I might have just been partially asleep and hallucinating, and I didn't wish to wake my parents. Like my first Lucid Dream, I'm still in my bedroom. It's still the middle of the night, but I find that I can see clearly even in the darkness. I wanted to get up...

...and suddenly find myself in the hallway about 5 feet from my room. I don't remember ever standing up or walking, so it's unlikely that I did. I walk around my house, into the kitchen. There is a strange glow coming from the Kitchen/Dining Room/Living Room area, almost as if someone left I light on. I went out there, and there was nothing eerie or scary or anything like that. It was just light. Things were a bit different, my refridgerator looked a bit like a drawing of one, I call, but overall, it was still my house. No missing or extra rooms. I did notice that nobody was there though. I suddenly wanted to summon someone. Forget that I hadn't even left my house in a Lucid before, I wanted to do something that many people can't , and I wanted to do it right away. Being a 15-year-old teenage male, I decide to summon a very attractive girl I know from school. I turn around, fully convinced she'd be behind me. Nope.

I continue with my goal, however. I walk up to my bedroom door. I don't remember the walking, but I don't believe I just appeared there. I shut the door, and open it again, believing she would be there. Nope. I try again, this time with my bathroom door. Nope. Since coming into the Lucid Dream, I never had any problem seeing, but my bathroom was DARK. I attempt to turn on the light, willing it to work. Nope. Device Failure. Alright, I close my eyes and try to will the light on. Again, nothing.

Here, I forget that I am dreaming. I suddenly decide to take a bath (something I only do after a muscle injury while awake.) It doesn't occur to me as strange that the bathroom is now light. I look around for soap, and I can't find any.

Then it hits me, if I'm dreaming, I can just summon the soap. I turn around on the counter, and there it is. A small cardboard box with a bar of soap in it.

I don't remember ANYTHING past here, so it is likely I woke up. This marks the first Lucid Dream I have had where I have had control and managed to leave my bed. Summoning people didn't work, but I have the feeling that is because I didn't truely believe it would.

It also seems that while in a lucid dream, the rational part of your brain shuts off. I had planned for my first lucid like this to do something a bit different. I wanted to step outside into the rain, go back inside, and step outside into the snow, or something like that. Just manipulating the weather around my house. I also wanted to fly, but I am sort of glad I didn't. This dream wasn't very vivid, and I probably wouldn't have felt it that much. But instead of these two simpler things (though one might argue that weather seems harder) I attempt to summon a girl. Stupid being a teenager.

All in all, I am very excited for my next lucid, and I hope the desire for lucid women doesn't cloud my mind next time.
