A moment of lucidity
Last night I dreamt about a girl whom I've always liked a lot, but because of circumstances I won't discuss here we will never be more than best friends in waking life. I've had a girlfriend for two months now, and she is the girl in my life.
However, last night I dreamt of the other one, and this made me realize I was dreaming. (She lives far away so we don't meet often.) My dream recall is total crap so I don't remember anything except seeing her face and a spark of lucidity. :(
I wish I could remember more, but seeing how it was the first time since I became interested in lucid dreaming that I've realized I was dreaming, I wanted to share it. It's the perfect motivation to work harder on my recall. :)

Great job. Do you keep a journal because my dream recall would be non-existant if I didn't scribble down a couple thoughts at least every morning, and even then my dream recall sucks (hence my title). The other reason is because this girl is obviously a dream sign for you (a celebrity crush was my first dream sign) and keeping a journal you'll start recognize dozens of other signs so you'll easily identify when your dreaming. A girl can't be your only reminder, can it? But it's good to know your brain responds well to dream signs.

I used to dream of this one girl all the time.
But later when I had a girlfriend, I never dreamt of my girlfriend.
You dream of what you can't have I guess??

I keep a journal, and she's a dreamsign indeed. Another one I've found is the black cat we used to have. Unfortunately, because I'm experiencing a lot of stress lately (my dad's in the hospital) my mind has been elsewhere. This was a great encouragement though. I should remind myself to spin to keep lucidity (that works right?) and to write everything down, even if I don't feel like it.
It was easier to become lucid than I'd expected. Now to make it last and remember. :)
