Omg I Just Did It, I Ld First Time Ever

OH MY GOD, ABSOLOUTLY AMAZING....I had given up on this and BAM, im so hyper i just turned on laptop to write my LD down lol !!!! WOW

ok ok so heres what happend....i was feeling down, so i TOLD myself again i will LD to cheer me up. I fell asleep........

I was dreaming i went to a "meet", i seen people there that just couldnt be there. Then we all started to walk down a corridoor, i thought ahhh if only i could do a RC ill probably go lucid...and wow, i did a RC, i held my nose and tried to breath....i COULD. WOW, it feels so weird doing that as well. I instantly become LUCID, i kept thinking OMG IVE DONE IT, IM AWAKE IN MY DREAM??!! OH MY GOD!!!.

I was filled with utter excitment, i thought sod following the group, and i flew towards the wall and morphed outside at the same time!!! I thought OMG, then everything went blury. I thought OH NO YOU DONT, took me ages to get this LD so you aint ending this early. I rubbed my hands and WOW that also feels so strange, but my dream started becoming REALLY vidid. It is SO amazing at how vidid it was. I flew up a few feet and hovered, i was in my front garden, i looked around and thought oh my GOD this is so real, it started becoming really blury again so i rubbed my hands and it become even MORE VIDID, i thought OMFG!!!. I rubbed my hands more and it was so real i could FEEL the sun light on me. I looked at my hands and there were all crinkly like youve been in the bath for hours lol. I was still hovering just above my garden by the big tree ( which isnt there anymore) It was all orange glow like the sun setting. The beams were flicking though the tree brances onto me and i just hovered there thinking THIS IS AMAZING, the tree was all white like in autum, i could even see little bits falling off the tree it was absoloutly amazing site. I just hovered there amazed by it. Then i thought ok lets fly. I flew to the rooftop of the next house easily. Then 1000 things i could try was going through my head. I seen a hen cross the road LOL. Then it morphed into a cat and i thought WTF. I felt my body twitch a little and could feel myself waking up. I flew back to the road and thought ok ok time to make a dream character. I was planning to think of a door, open it and she would be there.........I woke up instantly, no blure i diddnt have a chance to save my LD. I woke up instantly starting at my wall. I RC really fast and was really annoyed that i was now awake haha !! I sat up in bed thinking OMG IVE DONE IT.

To the people who havent LD yet, this really IS the best thing ever, it is NOT over rated in the slightest. It IS everything you think it is and when you rub your hands together and look at them. It becomes as vivid and real as real life itself. Im on such a high sorry for the long post lol

Congrats, welcome to the world of lucid dreaming.. I smiled all the way through reading your dream, I remember the amazement of my first few, it really is mind blowing.

Im really delighted you got to fly in your street as you've wanted, and im also glad you spent a little time looking around and appreciating the power of your mind, it really can create some awesomely realistic scenery.

I seen a hen cross the road

I can't believe you didn't ask it why it was crossing!

It sounds like for a first lucid you had a great and memorable time, im sure you'll get them more and more now..

      Congrats again

Yes, welcome to our world. I could feel while reading your post that you were there. Your excitement gave me goosebumps because I can absolutely relate to the overwhelming joy associated with your first LD. It's so amazing that words must be over-extended to convey the other-worldliness of the experience.

People often doubt that it can honestly be as awesome as others make it out to be. But, in reality, it's even more so - if you only allow it to be.

Congratulations and may you have many, many more

Congrats!! I know what you mean about "don't give up" after you've seen it for yourself. It's almost like Magic Eye, the people who don't see them secretly think that the people who do are trying to fool them or that it's just a hoax... but then when you DO see it it's like a light comes on and then you believe. I compare LD'ing to Magic Eye pictures all the time, either you see and you believe or you don't and you don't.

Again congrats! Welcome to the other side!

That's a good simile (or is it an analogy). I'll have to steal it from you.

      Hey, look over there!

Now i need to find out how i can make them last longer, and how i can have more controll in them. It felt like i was barely holding on to the lucid, everytime i tried to do something it felt like i was loosing the dream

      Awecome. Congratulations, Cammy!

One thing you might want to try is chanting to yourself, in your head (without moving your dream-mouth) "I'm dreaming, I'm dreaming, I'm dreaming." That helps me not lose focus on that fact that it's all a dream, while I'm thinking about other things.

Cammy, I am soo happy for you!!

Reading your post brought back how I felt after my first lucid and how badly I wanted to share that feeling with someone who could relate. Well we all here can relate and we're right there with you when we read your post!

Rubbing your hands is good and so is spinning but I also find that touching things (I mean really "feeling" them) can help to stabilize your dream. Get into how they feel.. are they hot, cold, smooth, rough, etc.. this often helps me remain in a dream longer.

This is so great.. I love success stories!
