Desires Fulfilled by Lucid Dreams
I had a dream that I quite enjoyed. It was a DILD after a failed WILD. (Underlinings are my dreamsigns.)
I'm at work, and there are way too many people. I go into the break-room and I see a huge spread of food. I leave quickly, not wanting to get off my diet, then wander around, unsure what to do. I go back into the break-room and sit down at the table. There are a lot of people I don't know in there eating. I pick up a piece of cake, and altho I don't acknowledge to myself yet that it is a dream, I know I won't regret eating it. I begin to eat, trying all of the food that I can reach. It is mostly sweets--cookies, pie, cakes, brownies. Sometimes I feel like I am choking, but I find that if I take small bites and chew it, concentrating on the taste, I can do it. It all tastes really good. (probably 95% as good as IRL.) I say to no one in particular, "You know, sometimes when I am in a dream, I eat a whole lot, because I know it doesn't matter." Most of the DC's continue with their conversations, ignoring me, but a man next to me says, "Yea, sometimes I do that too", in a knowing way. I'm glad to have a conspirator, so I scoot closer to him and say, "Oh, I didn't see those pumpkin bars; do you mind?" and I reach into his plate and get some. He smiles, with an exagerrated "Help yourself!" gesture, and then says "You know, sometimes in a dream, I just eat the frosting and throw away the cake!" I say, "Like this?" and proceed to do what he suggested. We laugh, and then look around for anyone else who might be in on it. A girl across the table is looking at us and smiles as she shoves cake into her mouth, and we know there is at least one more dreamer there. (Alarm goes off!)
