Weirdest thing Ever! (Not an LD)

I don't know quite how to explain this one. It was about 5 PM today, and I was tired from summerschool. So I laid down, and just wanted to relax, and then I thought.. Hey this would be a good time to try and lucid dream. I tried to WILD, but I fell asleep. So about, mid-dream I presume (i don't remember anything before it), I realize I'm dreaming. I don't do any reality checks, I just realize I'm dreaming. The weird thing is, I'm not even in my dream, I'm just kind of doing some stuff, changing the scene, and basically looking at pictures. All the while, I have this sensation that I'm completely aware, in the real world also! So I'm thinking, maybe that I think i'm not sleeping, I'm just trying to convince myself I am.

So, I think, okay, when I awaken, I'll remember this. I open my eyes, which immediatley happens, and... poof. I forget what the hell happened.
I don't move, I don't do anything... I just forget. All I remember was that I was sort of viewing things from other people's perspectives. I don't know if you guys have this... but sometimes before you go to sleep, you see images really blurry in your mind, and then sometimes they get clearer, but then die back down. Thats how the whole thing was for me. The thing I can't get over, is this feeling as though I wasn't actually sleeping, when I was.

Another thing I"m questioning.. I woke up at 9:10... should I go back to sleep at 10:00 to try and induce a lucid? I'm reading stuff about lucid, and playing games, which is supposedly able to improve your induction of lucid dreaming
