      Emancipation from what?

      I have had a few dreams like the following in that I realized I was dreaming but did not alter the dream; I simply terminated the dream and woke up. What I find noteworthy is the distinct feeling that I was rising up through something after I ended the dream.

      Was ambling around my high school in a towel only. I wished to exit, a woman 'gatekeeper', so to speak, refused to let me pass saying, "Emasculating," but for some reason I thought she meant, "Emancipating." At that point, I realized I was dreaming and ended the dream right there. What a relief.

      I have felt something similar once when I was suddenly woken up in the middle of a dream by someone turning on a light and making a loud noise. It felt as if my physical body was a tunnel and my dream body was getting pulled up through it. Also if I relaxed a bit after that I could feel my dream body suspended inside the physical as if it was swinging in a hammock.

      Odd, this is what happens to me in reverse when I WILD. I feel my body sinking into the dream. I suspect it is related to entering and leaving sleep paralysis.

      wierd. i also posses the ability to wake myself up from dreams. does anyone else?
