      Half asleep half awake

The other day I attained lucidity and for some reason got tired in my dreams and closed my eyes. My right eye opened right back up in the dream world but my left eye was stuck closed and eye could see my arm and pillow in the real world. In the dream world I pryed the eye open and regained lucidity again. I was just wondering if anything like this has ever happened to anybody.

I had a similar experience a few weeks ago.

I have this huge tapestry in my bedroom of this dragon thing that faces my bed exactly. I dreamt of it and the dragon was moving and attacking another dragon. What had happened was that I was 1/2 awake and my fluttering eyes took in the tapestry and my sleeping brain was playing with it. It was a fun experience that I haven't been able to repeat since.

Wow, I guess this experience isn't just a personal quirk! I recently had an LD where I was "aware" of my physical body as well, though the LD itself was kinda... frozen. I actually made a topic about it here: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=38899

I honestly thought I was alone is this experience, and I hope it doesn't occur again, as my LDs are all too rare to be ruined this way. Although, LucidBuddha, that does sound like quite an experience you had! What did you mean by "fluttering" eyes, however? Maybe it was a sort of "reverse blinking" technique you performed.

      this happened to me aswell.

i was waking up, and i could feel my lucid body and my real body stimultaneously (probs spelt wrong). i was trying to do something in the dream, and suddenly i jerked my face forward, and smashed my jaw into my bedside table. this brought me to a false awakening however, in which i had my jaw smashed in and got up out of bed to find half of my teeth falling out and stuff. when i woke up for real, i only had a bruise though...

the reason i think this happened, is because i was trying to tense my muscles violently in the dream, and accidentally used my real body instead.

My arm once fell asleep in a dream. I'm pretty sure it had actually fallen asleep in the real world.

I recently had a dream where a bear was trying to push down a tree outside my house that I could see from my window and every detail of my room was the same. I think I must have been able to see it, because things are never the same as they are in real life in my dreams.

When I was waking up and once when I was WILDing I could feel my real body being still, but could also feel my legs runnning in a dream. It's very disorienting. I think stuff that happens to your sleeping body affects your dreams though. Like my air conditioner kicked on while I was asleep and I was cold in my dream, and I woke up and I was freezing. My friend said he had a dream his leg was cut off, and he woke up and it was asleep.
