      Blood rush

      2007-09-05

I spent an hour and a half trying to get to sleep. I did not get to the full sleeping state today, opposed to usual, but I did experience several falling asleep.

In the last occurrence, I felt an intense blood rush in my head, a roaring sound in my ears, with a blinding light — elements that usually are a signal of my changing state. As I felt falling in the air, flipping onwards into space, into the light, I thought : “ Here we go again, this feels so good. ”

My urge to define a starting scenario tricked me out of the dream this time. The blinding light fainted away, leaving everything black. To test my state I opened my right eye, and understood that it was all over, for the moment at least.

Wow, have you ever used it to get into WILDs? That would freak me out if it were me. I've only had one WILD and I slipped straight away into it.

      Falling sensation

When the roaring sound comes, and the blood rush is felt, I also feel being lifted up slightly, like in a levitation state where there is no up and down. My body flips around in darkness, as I await for the first oniric image to appear, focusing on the roaring sound and the free-floating sensations I have. It is a key state when I could easily slip out of the dream if I ordered myself to open my eyes and wake up. I understand the sensations can vary from one individual to another. For some, for example, there are audible hallucinations.
