Am I Lucid? or Am i dreaming of lucid?

in my last dream where i "thought" i have been lucid..
i went down some stairs and saw my reflection in a mirror and realised i wasn't looking back at myself in the reflection..
when i got down to the bottom of the stairs i thought i was lucid...
i ran up the stairs jumped a bannister with my (lucid powers) i saw stuff floating around but for some reason didn't take them into account of being important and i suddenly decided to fly like superman into a wall...

All this seems like i am lucid but it feels like i have no control...
as if i am just dreaming a dream where i seem to be acting lucidly..
its like a dream where u play a role or something
its like im playing the role of myself acting lucidly

I seem to have nearly no awareness of my environment, i can't think of what to do (i spontaneously do it and i don't seem to realise what i am doing and the effects...)
      its like a dream....
as if i am just watching kinda...
anyway tell me what u think and please help me out if u can...

Hmmm... sounds like you were semi-lucid (also sounds like an attempt on a WILD)

Sorry I can't help you more , someone else probably will

      hi amigo,
the same exact sort of thing has happened to me! In both of my "lucid" experiences, i felt like i had really no control over what was happening, but merely felt a higher sense of awareness, a realization of the fact that i was dreaming, even though i had little control over what was happening. it was like my subconscious was still directing everything, and i was just more aware than usual. after further reflection, i began to question whether or not i had actually been lucid, and whether or not i had just dreamt of being lucid. But after asking some other lucid experts, they told me that setting up better dream recall (through the use of dream journals, etc.) will help this tremendously; and i think just a measure of experience will allow your consciousness to take more control over the dream. I have not gotten there yet, but ill be trying right there next to ya

      same here

its like theres some portal when your really aware but not lucid

like you have to somehow struggle to "find" or "open lucidity"

at least thats what it feels like to me

like my goal in the dream is to get lucid but i have to search (not literally) for it

So you say you thought you were lucid. But did you stop to think "am I dreaming ?" ?
To me it sounds like any other dream... There's nothing to say but that you'll get lucid when you're ready to, just keep practicing and don't lose hope Good luck, and don't let it bother you or anything, just think of it as just a regular dream.

i have had many dreams like these. where i thought that i was "semi-lucid" or sumthing of that nature. i kno now that i was only having a really vivid dream. that's what all of u are probably expirencing. really vivid dreams. if u were lucid, and it was for the first time, it would have seemed as "real" as real life. you would have probably woken up from shock as well.

      About what paranormal said...

Yes i did actually stop and think i was dreaming but it was still very awkward
      i mean...
i didn't notice that small things floating around was awkward yet i knew i had abilities yet it felt like my concious was not controlling me but my subconcious was

it felt like my subconcious became "concious" as if it new i was dreaming while my concious was still asleep and so my subconcious played the role of my concious so i had no direct control...
very hard to explain... i hope many of u aren't stumped!
but yeah it kinda feels like that... try not to make the feeling to literal...
its like a normal dream except ur acting lucid kind of...
