Wasting Lucid Dreams

Have you ever achieved lucidity, been in awe for a moment and then wasted the whole experience? :doh:

Last night I had a DILD and I decided to go get some gravity defying hairstyle, so I go into a salon. I see this old woman getting her hair done and once finished she gets it put on a tab, which is many thousands of pounds (?!), because, as she explained to me, she was bored with her life and consequently had a new haircut every week (?!) but had got into debt. I then spent the rest of the dream attempting to will a cheque for her to appear in my pocket. All I managed was a fist full of spare change :oops:

Although in real life this would be admirable, in the dreamworld it's a real waste of time!

So in short, has anything other than the typical fear of physical harm or social consequences made you waste an LD?

Omg!! :D That is really funny. I'd have to go through my DJ to remember, but the most recent one I had was sort of wasted because I became lucid at my work place and ended up looking into all the offices searching for a coworker of mine. Ya know... would have been way more productive to ask the meaning of life or swim with the whales or something! :P

Oh well... still a lucid!!

Haha oh dear. I always feel confused after experiences like this because I'm very elated after getting an LD but I also feel like kicking myself for my stupidity. :morecrying:

I was almost in the same sort of scenario with Lock, still in this house but some bad guys came in, and I remember I had to shoot them, I had a couple of pistols, but when I shot the guys it was more like little balls rather than bullets, these things would have struggled to bruise let alone kill anyone.

Then this moved outside onto the beach, I was in a car now, with a girl, I knew her from somewhere, I didn't know where, I don't know if she was someone famous or just an old friend, but I knew her, we were cuddling closely in this car, and were happy together, but for some reason I had to get out the car, as I walked along the beach these helicopters came flying over, I knew we were at war again (my biggest dream sign at the moment) and I hid under this car wreckage to watch how it was developing to plan my best attack on these people.

They were all dressed in black and abseiled down onto the beach, I looked behind me and there was an old friend who I have not seen from school. Okay I thought, I am at war and now I have seen him, this cant be right. I must be dreaming? Maybe? It seems so real, I can smell the explosives and the dream was amazing, full of clarity (as they seem to be now) but I thought well I might as well try a RC anyway, so trying not to get shot or blown up I tried to put my finger through my hand, but it didn't work. Weird I though, I am sure this is a dream, I guess it must not be, I will try one more time, and again, it failed.... I am not having this, so I tried the nose plug one and I could breath, I had never done this RC before, it was weird, you can breath, but its like you have a blocked nose kind of but can still get some air though lol.

So this was it, I turned to my friend and said "Hey, do you realise this is a dream?" He wasn't too bothered and said we had to fight! And this is what annoys me, I was dreaming, I knew it, and I should have tried the lucid tasks, although there is something else I want to work on in my lucids too, but didn't. Instead I knew I had to fight these guys, and then the dream faded back into a normal dream and I lost lucidity because I just went along with how the dream was going.

I don't remember much after this, but I was really disappointed with how it went.
