With all my previous LD's I've kind of had spontanious lucidity, then confirmed it by a RC. But last night I actually noticed a dreamsign, did a RC and became lucid.
Here's my dream...
For some reason at school we had to go to some wind surfing demonstration, I was having trouble getting there so I took a different route within my school. Seperating me from the rest of my class. I always like jumping stuff, so when I came across a huge set of stairs (it had 4 groups of 6 steps with flat in between them) I thought I'd jump the first set of 6, but I felt really light and kept going all the way down, landing like it was nothing. There was my dreamsign. I was quite pleased for landing it without getting hurt, at first I thought to myself "that must be a world record", Then I acctually thought rationally and realised it couldn't be. I did a noseplug RC and I was lucid!
I was on a basketball court at the time and I did a few awesome slam dunks. Then it got kind of fuzzy, I was in my bed and my dad was talking to me through my door, I still hadn't lost lucidity. I jumped out my window and jumped my front fence (I feel like I can maintain lucidity better in open spaces). The scenery was beautiful, the sky, the trees. Although I was lucid I didn't feel like i was in full control of my actions, I had the urge to start running and singing. I sang "it's a beautiful day" by U2, then I could hear the song playing in my head. So there I was, running around my neighbourhood, soaking up my surroundings, with U2 playing in my head, the whole time I was telling myself I was dreaming.
I decided to try and fly to the top of a tall biulding I could see. I jumped up, but shot straight pass the building and everything went black. I couldn't see or control my dream body. I heard a tv infomercial playing in the backround, i figured this might have been playing in the real world. I could feel myself waking up. I tryed to imagine a picture but it seemed useless. I opened my eyes, awake.
This was also the first time I've been lucid up until I wake up, I usually lose it though false awakenings or it just fading away.
I know it's not the most interesting dream, but I felt like doing a write up. Also I've yet to purchase a dream journal, so I can always look back on this to remember.
