Lucid in a Lucid....

I had to report this since it's still fresh in my memory from last week. Been a while since I had an LD but lately I've been dreaming a ton... not a lot of LD action though.

Anyhow I was up all night smoking a brisket for a party the next day. I put it on at 10pm, watched a movie, then laid down after checking it (every 2.5-3 hours I add water to the water pan and add more wood to the smoker... all night long.. well worth it for the outcome.. mmmmm!)

Immediatly after falling asleep at around midnight I started dreaming. It was like I was sitting on a stage (like a high school theater stage) with everything dark except lights shining down on me and my friends (I'm 37 BTw...lol)

We start taking about LDing. They all thought it would be neat if we all LDed and tried to join dreams and interact. (I wasn't lucid at this point). So we all fall asleep attempting to all become lucid. (Also, none of my friend I was with are LDers.. only me.. )

So I fall asleep in my dream and start dreaming and immediatly become lucid... a dream in a dream. It was freaky how easy it was to become lucid at this point. I didn't know I was dreaming before, but DID know once I started dreaming in a dream. (haha.. that sounds weird).

So I am lucid and it's like we're all back on the stage. I ask everyone else if they are dreaming and they say "yes". I say "lets start doing neat stuff...". so we all start levetating, shooting lightning from our hands, the normal stuff. It was sweet. It was one of the most lucid dreams I've ever had with great control.

Then we all "woke up", back on the stage. (but I was still dreaming). We talked about our experiences. One thing we did "figure out" was that even though we were all lucid with each other while dreaming, none of our dreams "matched" so we didn't "share dreams" as we had hoped.

I remember one friend asking "maybe we're still dreaming". so I attempted to make him levitate. He didn't so I said "nope, we're awake."

then I woke up. Of course the feeling of "MAN! How could I NOT know that was a dream?!?" came to me, but I remembered it all, especially the dream in the dream where I was lucid.

Seeing as how I would wake up every 2-3 hours that night to check the brisket on the smoker, I actually had many vivid dreams. One of course involved a dream where my brisket was burnt to a crisp and my smoker fell apart. (which of course it didn't.. brisket turned out perfect for the party).

Anyhow, thought I'd share. It was a pretty cool dream. :)

i had a similar dream last night. it's in my dream journal, but long story short, in my dream, i read an article about an LD technique, but didn't actually realize that i was dreaming. i'm kinda pissed at myself.

That is really strange. I wonder how often that happens. Lucid in a lucid...

lol, wished dreaming in a dream existed. But it doesn't, you're in the same dream that jsut changed theme. So nothing but the dream itself changed basicly. lol

THATS WIKKID.. the other night i dreamt that while i slept 'in my dream' i took pictures in it, and when i woke up from my dream, in my dream i would look at my camera and all the pics were there
then i woke up and tripped right out haha

Dreaming in a dream? Sounds strange

I understand I didn't "really" dream in a dream, but that's what my dream was about. I dreamt that we all were going to attempt to sleep and become lucid, and I dreamt that I fell asleep, dreamed and became lucid. It was quite cool. No need to be a techincal buzzkill. ;)

I once dreamed that I was in a dream that I was in a dream that I was in a dream!
