My first LD
I had my first LD a few days ago when I was on a school trip to china! It was a nightmare and I was in an apartment, but I remember thinking, this is it, I'm dreaming and then I dived out of the window, dropped 20 storerys and flew before I hit the ground, then I destroyed my persuer in the apartment by making fire spring from my hands. Then I lost lucidity. Sorry if I sound stupid, nobody probably wants to hear it I'm just very happy because I finally got one. The funny thing is I stopped using my dream journal.

cool.
Lucidity in nightmares is great. It may not be as fun as a positive-themed lucid dream, but it takes the edge off nightmares...and, I think, increases your chances of becoming lucid in future nightmares and getting away from or defeating your enemies. "This is awful. Maybe I'm dreaming."

Congrats on your first!! I wish you many more!

Congratulations on your first LD! :boogie:
I don't wish anyone nightmraes.. but if they occur, may you always become lucid and then go on to enjoy the dream. :D

Thanks everyone, the only thing is I was only semi-lucid, I was only half in control of it. I could think what I wanted to do but I couldn't make my body do it, it was like my body was a person I was asking to do something and it could refuse me.

^^I think it's all practice... I've only had a few lucids because I keep fucking up my sleep pattern like an idiot, but every time I've had more control. Keep at it, and you'll get there, I promise!

Congrats! I have yet to have a lucid dream, but last night I think I had a false lucid dream.
Yeah, that makes no sense, but in my dream, all these weird things were happening and I thought, hey, maybe I'm dreaming.
So I looked at my hands and everything went cloudy.
I focused really hard and I could just make out that I had six fingers on one hand.
I thought, "Hmm. I guess I'm lucid."
Then this weird shuttering feeling went through my body and things got blurry again.
Then I got distracted by a stuffed lion and lost my lucidity. :(
Still, it was interesting that I *sort of* became lucid, and that it was dream induced to boot.
Sorry for filling up your thread with my mindless babble!
Just wanted to share lucid firsts ;)

That sorta happened to me, I thought, wait, this can't happen. This is it I'm dreaming! And then I flew and stuff but after flying for a few seconds I lost it. And I always mess up my sleep pattern, I've been in China for 2 weeks and they'r like 8 hrs ahead or something. I'm ill now 'cos of Jetlag and stuff. But for some reason this actually happened to me in China so.......
