My first WILD
First of all:
After only five days of reading this site and being a member, i do my first WILD, thx DV!
sorry if its too long, i couldnt help myself
I went to sleep telling myself i would be lucid in my dreams and also with the idea of waking up after a few dreams to remember them. I never thought it was going to work , but i woke up at 4 am. I couldnt believe it, i remembered two dreams perfectly. Too bad i havent started my dream journal yet and i didnt have anything to write next to me (i wasnt going to get up).
I tried doing that FILD technique but it didnt work, i fell asleep and had two more very vivid dreams.
Now the fun part: I woke up again probably at 9 am. I didnt really feel like sleeping again but i tried anyway, telling myself i was going to be lucid. Before i knew it i was a having an hypnagogic image: it was like a dream measurer or something like that, it had 2 bars, one for how exited i was and one for how much asleep i was. Somehow i felt like i had seen it on DV and i knew that my exitment didnt have to be more than 0.5 if i wasnt past the "sleep barrier". I calmed down, and suddenly my body felt completly relaxed. I could feel it go to sleep while my mind was awake.
I see my room, and just go through the wall, into a small kitchen-like room that isnt there IRL. I think i want to see through it and i do, and also go through this room. Im finally outside (i live in the 10th floor). The place doesnt look like it does in reality, it looks more like im in a rural area. Far away i see a little artificial lake and a lot of trees. For some reason i thought that if i went to high i would wake up but i controlled my self and thought "what the hell, this is my dream, and ill end it when i whant to". So i went very high until i could see some buildings in the background and started heading for the lake. I realised i was naked lol. I flew really near to some trees and touched them with my hand as i went past them. Then i started rolling in the air just for the fun of it, and tried to enter the lake. I musnt have been completetly lucid in this part because i thought i would be too cold. I knew it was a dream but i didnt want to feel cold.
Then i started waking up and i didnt want to! i fight with all my power and start rubbing my hands and turning, and even though i felt like my body was spinning, my head wasnt. I wake up and feel very :boogie:
The coolest thing was that dream measurer thingy because its probably what made my mind conscious while my body was falling asleep.

Congratulations, Somnum. It seems like you've got a good technique (I might try that instead of the techniques I've been trying). Take it from me, though, that the dream journal is definitely the way to go. Not only does it help you remember your dreams, but it actually seems to make them more vivid (sometimes), almost like you're telling your brain "Okay, I'm going to write this down, so be prepared to remember all the details."

Thank you for the comment, and the advice on the dream journal.
About the technique, i wasnt even trying that hard, i just fell asleep so fast i didnt have time to loose consciousness. Besides i had that extra hypnagogic help that made me remember i had to stay awake. Im going to try and make it appear at will.

Oh, WILDs!! I really envy you! But i still wish you many more.
I'd like to know a bit more about your previous LDs. Since when have you had them, and if you fly often.
