I found the best method for lding called the WBTB method: Wake Back To Bed method. I had 4 in a row one night, then 2 the next night then 1 then 1 again. but I can't seam to fly. my cat even was flying but I can't! :cry:

I'm still having slight problems flying, but it's not really my main concern since I want to do other stuff instead. You should do a search on flying. There's loads of crap on that here, but ill list some that I remember.
-Imagine yourself light as a feather
-Propel yourself from the ground using air pressure or something like that
-grow wings
-try wishing it (i.e I wish i can fly)
-Pretend to be a superhero?
-uhhh..running out of idea

hi. ive been a natural my whiole life, and all i can fly on is a bed. hah. the bed flyes not me. so, if u cant do it, dont worry about it. there are lots of other things to do.

I could do it fine as a kid, but in an LD a year ago I could only lift off the ground a few inches. Maybe that had to do with the fact that there were other people there, looking at me.. you just have to really believe you can do it.
Someone, I can't remember who, had this wonderful suggestion of looking at a large object some distance away and pretending that it's pulling you towards it, like a magnet.
umm I used to HAVE LD's just to fly... i called them flying dreams until i heard "lucid dreaming" used in a sentence.
Umm, first thing to remember is.. it ain't gonna always happen.. even LD's have a mind of their own.. my personal method is the "Peter Pan" (yeah, kinda embarressin, but its the best way) method of stretchin an arm out and pushin it in the direction i wanna go..
However lately, I've gained more power, and now i can float, morph, and move things with my mind, without movin my lucid body.
Yeah about not always havin them happen.. you have to believe you can do it, believe you control everything.. even then your mind may still block it, but your will of wanting to do it should overcome.
Oh a couple times, i had to drink a liquid to fly..
Well, my first time ever during an LD (a few days ago) I realized that pushing off the ground harder so I could fly doesn't work, it just makes me fall from a higher hight :lol: . So, I first made a pot float. Then something bigger, soon, I was able to fly a lot better... the only problem was that this was a very low level lucid dream and at the point where I could fly I was kinda not lucid.
Nightowl, some of your suggestions were pretty good but others weren't...
Growing wings is always really hard and since you have never even thought about it in your "real" life you probably couldn't do it or you would do a bad job at it (one time I grew these pathetic little stubby things... didn't work as wings...)
Wishing could work, but I have a feeling it would lower your lucidity level.
I think my way works (if you remember it). Try focusing on levitating small things and then work up to yourself. If you can fly for a little bit then your confidence level should boost and you should be able to fly without focusing.
PS: I never have really been succesful with flying...
I use the WBTB method and it works well.
When I want to levitate into the air, I have to hop a few times until I finally stay in the air. When I want to get somewhere by flying, I usually find myself running off a hill, and then I do something like the cartoons, where they continue to run in mid air even after the cliff has ended, except I don't fall :D. however, to move myself, I usually run in that direction in the air. The first time I've experienced flying, I go flying by jumping and then while mid jump getting myself parellel to the ground and pushing off from the wall, and then I just swim through the air.

I kind of don't understand why completely waking up after about 6 hours would work though...what if you end up staying awake and unable to sleep?
This is the biggest problems I have faced. I once stood awake for an hour but thats becouse I have a realy hard time falling asleep, but i only do the method for 10 mins and have at least 1 ld and don't have a hard time falling asleep.
Hmm. Do you visualize the last dream you had or just relax and have your mind go blank? Arr, there's so many techniques.. I end up trying them all in one night, and I don't think that's the best way to do it. :?
I have tried the zooming technology it works! I felt a rush of force pulling me at the tree that I tested it on. it was only a couple feet in front of me. just wait till I try it on an airplane :D
I for one find it impossible to do a WILD, and the only technology that worked for me was WBTB, dream journal, RC, and sometimes MILD.
this is how I do my RC's, with my fingers tight togather because with them apart Its to easy to see I have 5 fingers. then I say what I want to do. example. I fly tonight, with the zooming method. and in my dream I know what I want to do.
hey, zooming(what i've always called attraction method) works really well for me as well. I am always amazed at the rush of acceleration!
i did somehitn gwierd the other night. i tired to fly but i ended up moon walking. i just sumped high aand i culdnt get down after a few times. but i wsnt flying. i was just stuck. also, it was my first time trying a wild. i am trying to have more lucid dreams.
I thought the attraction method was with a person you like and then try to fly?
