First day in forums due to my first real LD! Please comment

I have been shadowing these forums for about a month now. I was just searching the internet one day when i came across the idea of lucid dreaming. I am a very open minded person and am always excited for new experiences. I have practiced WILD'ing multiple times each day since i started. Last night i finally had my first lucid dream and it was a DILD. Therefore i decided it was time for me to start my account with DV's. Please read my dream entry posted below. It was amazing i couldnt be more thankful for the help i have recieved by shadowing these forums.

I became aware i was dreaming for a second a couple weeks ago but i woke up immidiately this was a whole different story. Keep in mind i wrote this entry at 4 o clock in the morning and i apologize for any grammatical errors. Im sure nobody will have the patience to read this but if you do i appreciate it greatly. Success! My god how sweet it is. My first lucid dream. Finally. I honestly thought it would never come. The funny thing is I have been neglecting my dream journal for a couple weeks now and have never really gotten into the reality checks. It is on my mind 24/7 however and I do extensive research on it everyday. I believe it was a DILD. As soon as I saw the dream scene I knew what was happening or maybe that’s just the first thing I remember. The timeframe is too hard to tell it felt like 20 minutes or longer. I’m very impressed with myself. However in real life its been at least an hour since I fell asleep. Either way im not concerned how I got there. I got there. Note: don’t try to explore anymore. It was boring and a big part of the world must be created by me I realized that and will explain in the dream. At least in this instance exploring was not a good idea. Maybe the wilderness would be a better place. Now lets get to the good stuff.

I flashed into a scene standing in a brightly lit new age house. It was very nice, maybe a 250-300k home and I was by a stair case so I knew it was 2 stories. The wood floors were a dark amber color and very clean and beautiful. There is a room on my left and another room next to that to my northwest-front left. The rooms went down either side of the upper level and the staircase went down the middle. I was maybe 10 feet from the front of the house which had big windows up here on the 2nd story. The very first thing I saw was my mother walking out of the room on the front wall, the room to my front left, with a laundry basket. It seemed that the very second I saw this dream scene appear I knew it was not my house and I just knew it was a dream. The very instant this dream scene appeared and I saw my mom I turned to go into that room on my left to do a reality check. Its funny because I was already lucid. I know this because the reason I went into the room was just in case I wasn’t lucid she wouldn’t see what I was doing haha. But I was pretty confident I was right in my guess that I was dreaming. I nose plugged and breathed. At that instant I have never felt so confident in my life. Within a matter of second 5 maybe 10 I had absolute control over everything and I knew it. I have a feeling I will be a very good lucid dreamer. The very moment I breathed threw my nose plug I took my fingers off my nose. Smiled a big mischievous smile (which I knew I was doing), turned and walked out of that room and turned left toward that front wall and the front windows of the house. Walked 5 steps my mom said something to me but I ignored her because i could tell she was trying to convince me I wasn’t dreaming. And with utter and complete confidence I walked right threw that wall and appeared outside. I actually chose to walk threw the wall that was in between the windows because I didn’t want to waste any time learning tricks of lucidity. I figured windows would be too easy. It felt very neat also, almost like walking through some kind of warm gel. Now remember that I was on the 2nd story. But I knew that when I walked threw the wall and had planned in the seconds before I reached it. Its crazy how confident I was because I thought it would be harder to convince myself that I could do so much. But I knew that when I passed threw the wall I could fly. Now I admit in the second or two it took me to pass through the wall to the outside I wandered what would happen. But again I knew I couldn’t be hurt and simply floated right out into the air in a standing position. The first few seconds were amazing. I walked through a wall and was already levitating. My mom stuck her arm out the window and said something like “you finally did it!” I grabbed her hand in a loving way and then as I floated softly to the ground let our grips slide apart. At that point I noticed how real her hand felt. So cold, and so very real. I looked around and noticed the outside of the house matched the inner. All the houses on the street were similar this damn neighborhood looked perfect. Not that it was perfect, but I couldn’t believe my mind created something so realistic. And the season was even on too it was chilly and smelled of brisk November air. The streetlights were on. The houses were large, all 5 bedroom suburban homes. Trees lined the beautiful residential street. I wasn’t wearing a shirt and could feel the bite of the cold. I decided to immediately try to fly. I knew I should float a few times first. So I began to rise up and I went much higher than I meant to haha, it was just like everything I read. Im glad I did so much studying over these past few weeks or I would have been clueless. Anyways I went much to high and much to fast so I stopped myself so I didn’t shoot out of the dream. I went maybe 100 ft straight up in a couple seconds so when I stopped myself I admit my heart jumped a little bit but only because I immediately fell straight down end over end with my limbs flailing everywhere! Haha I still had a big smile it was so much fun because I knew as I was falling back down that I couldn’t get hurt. So I enjoyed the very realistic free fall which lasted the perfectly realistic amount of time. I swear it was just like I had really jumped up that high. I cant believe how real and vivid everything looked. Even the orange leaves on the trees. My mom was cracking up. It was so funny because her DC was just like her and her DC was congratulating me on LD’ing. I jumped up two more times both time with almost similar results except I slowed myself down a lot. The 2nd one was about half the speed of the first one but still too fast. The 3rd one I floated up slowly and balanced out on my belly in the air and took off making it about 10 feet or so falling again and laughing. My mom asked if I was taking off now and I motioned to her that I was and I knew I was ready to fly. Then my girlfriend decided to pop up! Its not enough she pops up at all the wrong times in real life shes gotta do it in dreams too! Hahaha! Jk baby. Ily. Anyways she was very excited that I was finally lucid dreaming and she had a plastic waffle ball bat. We started joking around and flirting and she was asking how anyone would know I was really doing this. She said I had to leave a mark! “Break one of those windows haha. I was like no this isn’t an OBE im lucid dreaming and she started whining. I didn’t have a problem being rude because I was still perfectly aware and knew she was a DC so I was just like get away from me your so annoying. I jumped up onto the roof of my house and then floated back down to the street where I had practiced flying. I got a running start and burst into flight. This time I took control and was traveling forward at a pretty good rate. I flew for probably 30 seconds to a minute. I realized that it is much easier to balance if you tense all the muscles in your body very slightly. If you relax your muscles when you fly gravity will cause you to shake around. At this point maybe 15 seconds into it, being a speed demon I wanted to see what I could do. I now had control over my flight so I put my one arm forward and one back I superman’ed that ho. I burst forward flying out of that neighborhood through a small city, and into the next town. I couldn’t believe how fast I was going everything below me was a blur. It felt so real. I could feel the wind on my face but even more real than I imagined. It was like I was cutting through the wind not like wind blowing on my face. It seems my subconscious is smarter than me lol. I pulled this off for maybe, 10 seconds then I lost control and tumbled threw the air downward again end over end and limbs flailing. I looked down and saw I was in cheaper older neighborhood now falling towards some backyards in one of those very close quarters suburbs. I took control and landed myself on one of the fences. They were those type that were fence to fence on the backs and sides and they were all made of wood. That kind of neighborhood. The one I started in was the same but with much bigger yards and houses. A was sitting sideways on the fence. The house to my right had a cheap pool or trampoline in the backyard. The house looked like my old next door neighbors. In fact the neighborhood looked kind of like my old neighborhood only in kind of a comic book way in that in seemed to go on as far as I could see. I guess I have a lot of DC’s to house. The house to my left was a little bigger it was a two story but not nearly like the one I had began the dream in. It was still older and cheaper. Then I looked back to my right and thought to my self I should go look around inside one of these houses. But then I thought “Naw this is my first lucid dream if I am going to break and enter I should at least do a cool house.” When I turn back to my left I will see WOW! I said because I was saying that the houses to my left magically started transforming into big mansions. I flew down into the yard of the now huge house on my left. I started to feel the lucidity fade. I knew my dream was going. It feels kind of like you get dizzy, or almost like you start to get drunk but in a matter of seconds. So I started spinning with my arms outstretched. Oh my god spinning felt so real. I could even feel my feet crossing over each other to make me spin! Then I remembered something else I read which said focus on something. I think my girlfriend had appeared again standing in that yard but if so I ignored her. I focused on the golden door handle on the wooden back door to the house. I stared at it for maybe 5 seconds as my lucidity came back and the door just magically opened. It seemed to open as soon as my lucid level was full again. So I walked inside and was in a closet sized room with another door right in front of me, and behind that was a staircase. I wasn’t impressed. I expected a rich fancy inside but it seemed very opposite. It was big but ugly. All I could see now was this staircase I was on. It was basically an entrance into the house so it wound up a couple stories and had walls on either side of it. It was made of wood, but the wood was unfinished and tacky. It squeaked and like I said really disappointed me. When I reached the top of the staircase their was nothing their. Just a wall. I turned around and walked back down the stairs a few steps around the first corner. I thought to myself I just need to make something appear because my mind is having trouble figuring out what I want to see. As soon as I turn this corner their will be a room I said turning the corner and voila I was in a baby playroom. There was a couple closed doors I left alone. I just remember an old fashioned toy chest and an antique rocking horse even a big white stuffed bunny rabbit. All of a sudden I got dizzy again and the room started to teeter back and forth I shook my head hard and tried to snap back into it. I think I spun a little bit too. It was getting very hard to walk. I was growing weaker even my legs felt heavier. I was losing control but yet I still had total confidence. I could tell I was just getting mentally worn out because it was my first lucid dream and it had lasted well over 10 minutes. I made may way down the stairs my girlfriend was still following me but not saying a word. I appeared this time in a very strange living room. My mother, grandmother, niece, nephew, and girlfriend were all there. My niece is 9 months and my nephew is 8 years. This was very cool. I said to them, “so your all dreaming right now?” They shook their heads yes and my grandma said “yes im definitely asleep I can feel my leg asleep right now.” I think I said something about me being the only one lucid but right then I thought to myself, “I feel like things are starting to fade, I better not stick around and enter a non lucid dream and forget all this. I closed my dream eyes and woke myself up. It was magical. My first LD went perfect. I did so much better than I thought I would. I must be a natural. I am very proud of myself. Thank you god for giving me this experience. For the first time tonight since I started to attempt lucidity I prayed for your help and you answered.

Congratulations on your first LD. Sorry but I did not read the booklet account you posted and I suspect not many people will. Its the fact that you had a LD that is important.

Now you know that it is possible for you, you can build on the skills necessary to induce a LD.

Congratulations on your lucid dream, as well as posting perhaps the mightiest block of text I have ever seen on a forum! May you have many more (lucid dreams, that is).

Huh, I find it odd that you got dizzy in a dream. You should learn how to control your senses :P Start a dream journal and write down all of your dreams, more people read them in there.

Also, some paragraph stops would be nice. Proper formatting makes everything easier to read. Take a look at some of the other dream journals that are well formatted (my own, The Cusp's, TwoShadows'...)

i appreciate the feedback guys really i do. Ill do some editing to the paragraph, i wrote it at 4am half alseep so thats why it is so sloppy

Oh and dizziness is just the way i was describing the feeling of losing lucidity that kind of hazing out feeling :) Thanks for taking time out to read it though ninja

Oh, I have a journal next to my bed, I always just write down the nuts and bolts and important details when I wake up and then organize them later.

ya thats what i normally do but this one was so long and i was so tired i didnt want to forget it so i figured typing it would be easier. Im about to get a virtual one though!
